Teach me to Love

Chapter 16

Several weeks had passed and Rebecca and Colby hadn't been able to recreate what they were feeling for each other on Christmas night.  late one  Friday evening,  Colby came barreling in the house at a million miles an hour.

"BECKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" he called out excitedly   "what is it love?" she asked him  as she walked into the living room.  "Fit put me in the title match in 2 weeks!" he told her..  "supposedly it is Finn's last match in FCW before he goes to the WWE,  and they felt his original opponent was far too green to be in a title match yet."

"I thought you didn't want to wrestle all the time" she said as he hugged her.  "I don't" he said then he whispered "except with you" Rebecca blushed at his words.   "I am only doing this to help Fit out."  he told her.  "lucky the leprechaun is gonna get a beatdown in two weeks- for trying to mess with my girl" he said kissing her softly.

"ive seen the way he looks at you" he told her,  "and the look he gets when he sees us together..."   he had his chance, he needs to let the past go.  he added.  "it ends in two weeks".    "Col..."  she giggled  "are you jealous?"

"nah" he chuckled "just really hyped up"

The day of the match  finally arrived.   Rebecca was so nervous for Colby that he nearly gave her a heart attack when he popped into the trainers room to see her.  "I know I usually don't do this" he told her. "but, I am so nervous..  I needed to see you." he said wrapping his arms around her.   "but...Col.." she said softly "we're....."  before she could finish, his lips captured hers in a passionate kiss  that left them both smiling and breathless. "you look so hot in that gear" she said biting her lip.  Colby blushed.

"I better go" he said.  "be careful out there tonight love" she said as they stole a couple quick kisses.  Rebecca quickly went to her purse and grabbed her lipstick to touch it up.   "is my favorite little tomboy in love?" a voice said from behind her.   she dropped her lipstick into her purse and spun around and came face to face with Fit.

"I heard you in here talkin to Seth lass" he told her.   "seems as though you and the lad have  feelings for each other."  Rebecca giggled and looked at the floor. " ok Fitty.." she chuckled "ya got me to rights" she told him.  "Seth and I have been dating for over a year" she said "we just keep our distance at work."

"ya weren't keeping ya distance a few minutes ago"   he chuckled. Rebecca blushed. "as long as the lad makes ya happy and does right by you, I don't have problem with the two of you together."  he told her.  "BUT, if he tries to hurt you in any way...  then there be a problem lass, and I will have to show him that my name is finley..  and I STILL love to fight!"

"oh Fit" she laughed. "always so protective of me" they both smiled as they heard Finn's music hit.. "its time lass" Fit said as they walked over and sat by the monitor.   the crowd cheered him loudly.   "AND HIS OPPONENT......" the ring announcer said "FROM DAVENPORT IOWA, WEIGHING 207 POUNDS... SETH TYLER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"  Seth's music hit and the crowd went nuts when he came out.

Rebecca chuckled when she saw a chick in the crowd holding up a "marry me seth" sign.  "never gonna happen lass" she muttered under her breath.  the match was incredible!  back and forth action for 20 solid minutes. the finish came when Finn missed his finisher and Seth was able to pedigree him  and get the 1,2,3.

"THE WINNER OF THE MATCH.... AND  NEEEEEEEEEW FCW HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION..... SETTTTTH TYLERRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" the crowd went crazy.   in a great show of sportsmanship, Finn handed Seth the title and shook his hand.

Seth stood in the ring soaking in the cheers as Finn headed back to the trainers room. "amazing match lad" Fit told him "you will do well on the main roster.. I can feel it in me old bones"   "that's just arthritis" Finn teased him. "wouldn't doubt it" Fit laughed.

"everything looks good" Rebecca told him. "hit the showers" she giggled. "best of luck in WWE lad" she added.

"Jesus mary n joseph!!!" Fit said suddenly...
