Gally didn't care what it was going to take. He'd put his life on the line and spend the entire night here searching if he had to. He wasn't going to leave without Y/N. Thomas and Newt had already found Minho, and Gally was certain Y/N was somewhere close.

Sure enough, she was. After racing around a few more corners and peering into labs, he found her. She was being held down by two doctors, one of which had a large syringe in his hand.

"Hey!" Gally hollered out, catching the attention of the doctors. "Put it down or I shoot."

The doctors shared worried glances. Then, the syringe was sent through the air and toward Y/N. Gally, however, wasn't joking with his threats and before the needle made it anywhere close to Y/N, the doctors were on the ground. Luckily, his time here in the city had made him a good shot.

"C'mon," Gally lifted Y/N off of the bed and helped her to stand. "Let's get you out of here."

When he turned back, Y/N hadn't moved and was standing right where he'd left her. "Let's go!" He shouted urgently.

"Gally?" Y/N whispered in disbelief. "I thought..."

"I was dead?" He raised his brows. "Yeah. Everyone did. I'll explain later."

"You—" Y/N shifted her weight, confused. "You came back for me? Where's everyone else?"

"With Minho." Gally explained, walking to Y/N, grabbing her and and taking her with him outside. They couldn't spend much longer here for more reasons than one could comprehend. "I wouldn't be your friend if I didn't come back for you."

Now, on the berg watching the last city crumble and burn to pieces, everyone was in shock. They'd lost Newt, Teresa and were now on the verge of losing Thomas. Not wanting to think about it or face it all, Gally made his way over to Y/N with blankets and water.

"How are you feeling?" He asked, kneeling down beside her, handing the girl the supplies.

"Doesn't matter." Y/N shrugged. "I have nothing to complain about compared to—you know."

Gally looked down, fiddling with his fingers and holding back a few tears. "I know. But if there's anything you need—"

Before he could finish, Y/N had her arms around his shoulders, pulling him in for a hug. It had been a long time since they'd last seen each other and Y/N was surprised Gally was still on their side, willing to help. "Thanks for getting us out, Gally."

"Y-Yeah," He stuttered, awkwardly hugging her back before breaking away and sitting at her side.

Gally felt swamped by silence as Y/N drank some water and then set her head against the berg, resting. He'd waited so long to have the chance to see her again and now here he was, failing to speak because he was too nervous to say anything.

"So, Gally. There's nothing for me to tell you because you know where I've been stuck the past while," Y/N finally piped up with a slightly mischievous tone. "But tell me about your past six months. Where have you been? What did you do? Anyone special?" She teased.

Her smile had returned. The life was back in her eyes. She took Gally back to the Glade, to those days under the sun where she ran around, laughing and helped him with odd building jobs in her spare time.

"Well, there is someone." Gally shied his eyes away, turning his attention to meddle with his shoe laces.

"Oooh," Y/N sounded surprised. "Do tell." She shoved his shoulder.

"I don't know if I should tell you." He mumbled, doubting himself on the deepest level.

Y/N cocked her brow. "I won't judge." She promised.

"Alright," Gally took a deep breath. "My special person was locked away for the past six months and I just got them back. Never thought I would get to see them again, but here we are..."

Y/N looked shocked. Gally's heart skipped a beat in horror. She leaned in close to him. "Dude...you're in love with Minho?"

"WHAT?!" Gally nearly jumped out of his skin, gaining the attention of everyone around them. He waved them off awkwardly. "No. No way."

Y/N was puzzled. "Who—"

Her face fell. Now, Gally really knew she knew. "Oh." She fretted.

"So..." Gally cleared his throat. "Yeah. Sorry if you don't feel the same way."

He prepared to stand up but Y/N grabbed his hand, pulling him back down.

"You waited all this time?" She asked, struck by disbelief. "Waited even though you didn't know where we were or if we were alive?"

Gally nodded. "I had to hold onto something to get me through all of this." He admitted. "Besides, I always knew Thomas was dumb enough to come try and take down WICKED. Figured you guys would resurface after a while."

Y/N's lips curled up for a small second, her eyes now glassy. Slowly, she lifted her hand up and held it out to Gally. "Together. From now on out?"

Shocked and yet relieved to know Y/N hadn't crushed any of his hopes, he grabbed her hand and pulled her into a hug. "Together."
