Finding the inner actor in an individual was kind of like Bambam's talent as he himself was an actor. The nurses had informed him that he would be getting a new roommate by the end of the day and in all honesty to say he was excited was an understatement, He was beyond ecstatic. Bambam would really like to get to know the other but he didn't want to be judged, especially by someone he had to room with. He wanted the new kid to be his friend, not someone who hated him for the reason he was here.
Later that afternoon a young boy walked into the room and placed his belongings on the spare bed. He looked at Bambam and gave a wide smile in hopes of making a friend but Bambam knew better. "Kim Yugyeom," the male said with an extended arm. "Kunpimook Bhuwakul but call me Bambam" the Thai male responded. The other smiled on last time before turning and starting to unpack. The Thai male stared at the others back and wondered what a boy like him was doing here and wearing that forceful smile, he wanted to know the other's story but didn't want to pry.
Curiosity didn't let the Thai male sleep, he just couldn't concentrate on anything else other than the other male sleeping across from him. He was in his own world when he first heard it, the odd sound of sniffling. This snapped the male out of his trance as he tried to locate the origin of the sound. The sniffling turned in to quiet sobs and that's when Bambam had figured out where the sounds were resonating from. He carefully watched the silhouette of the other shudder as another sob was let out. After finally confirming that Yugyeom was, in fact, crying himself to sleep Bambam felt the urge to comfort the younger, the urge becoming stronger and stronger until he couldn't take it anymore.
____
Yugyeom cried silently as he didn't want to bother his roommate. Many thoughts running through his head slowly building up in strength and getting worse, it got to a point where Yugyeom himself began questioning his life, his parents had died taking him to his appointment and he lived.
'You are bothering him just by being in the same room as him' 'he doesn't want you here' 'You should be dead, not your parents'
The pain in his chest beginning to grow and the need to "Draw" Being impossible to resist with the continuous thoughts racing through his head. Yugyeom didn't want to cut himself but he remembers that he had "drawn" a bit yesterday. This then sparked an idea which he would soon regret. His hand subconsciously already brushing softly over the seams in his skin. Anxiety and necessity getting to him he began to scratch at the lines, breaking them open and feeling the crimson liquid drip down his arm. The now open wounds bleeding a constant flow, seeping into the sheets of the bed below him.
The pain from his wrist began to get worse and his crying began to grow louder. Yugyeom got to a point where he could no longer stay silent as loud sobs began bouncing of the walls surrounding the two boys. He felt so bad, he knew that he was bothering his roommate which only made him feel worse. All he wanted to do was run into his mothers' arms for a comforting hug. So immersed in the pain that came from his wrist he didn't notice a figure slowly walk over to him and sit next to him, the bed dipping ever so slightly. Finally, he felt two arms enclose him and honestly he really needed this hug, the unknown figure sat there holding the crying male whispering sweet nothings into his ear. Yugyeom knew from the sound of the whisper that it was his roommate and he couldn't be any more thankful for such a caring roommate.
Yugyeom immediately tried to clean his tears as he didn't want to seem weak in front of someone who quite possibly thought he was strong, but of course, was unsuccessful. He looked up at the Thai male and gave him a soft smile as a sign of saying that he was okay and that the other didn't need to be worried but what the Thai male said next definitely shocked Yugyeom and made him breakdown once again but this time it was genuine emotion.
"If you need to cry, cry. I won't judge you. Don't cry on your own anymore. If you need to cry lean on me and let me help you through whatever demons you are fighting on your own. but also...Stop smiling if you are not happy, the next time you smile at me, show me a real one. No more fakes between us, I want to help you smile a genuine and bright one."
Yugyeom fell asleep with his head resting on the Thai males chest and his body encased in the others arms. His words repeating in his head but five words appeared more frequently;
"SHOW ME A REAL ONE"
