After a year, Jackson realized that he needed to move on, to try to meet someone else and maybe make a friend. That's why he asked Dc. Hwang to assigned a roomie in hopes that having someone would help him with his social skills after feeling isolated for a year.
Just after a week, the new guy arrived. His destiny of being Jacksons roomie was unknown to the newbie. The moment he arrived, he was taken to the room, walking in and having the four surrounding walls cream in color taunting him, in which he would meet Jackson...
Jackson looked up to see the male. His new roomie wasn't how Jackson had hoped, the guy didn't talk to him neither look at him, it was the same as his many roomies before this. At this point Jackson had given up on the newbie and turned on his side to fave the wall.
After a while, Dc. Hwang told Jackson the male's name was Youngjae, and that is was going to be a little difficult to get him to talk, but even knowing that, Jackson wanted to try he felt that he had to try. Jackson felt as if it was his job to talk to Youngjae and make friends. Jackson's only fear being that of scaring the other away by having an outburst.
A day had passed and he couldn't talk with the other, to make everything worse, it was Jooheons birthday, which made him feel sad and even more depressed than what he was already feeling. All Jackson wanted was to have someone to talk to, and his dream was so close, but at the same time so far... 'what's the use' Jackson thought as he was lying there tears streaming down his already flushed face.
______________
Youngjae was in the room with his roomie, both laying on their respective beds when he swore he had heard the sound of someone crying, this brought curiosity to Youngjae's mind. He wanted to confirm that his suspicion was correct and that it was in fact his roommate that was crying. After a few minutes sobs could be heard from his roommates side, this was enough evidence to prove that it in fact was his roomie. He didn't like to talk with people, but he wasn't insensitive either, so he decide to break his own rule and talk with the crying male.
When he get closer, he could only just hear what the other male was whispering to himself, clearly very hurt. But what's worse is that the words being whispered hit Youngjae hard and made him feel like encasing the other in his arms in hopes to calm him down.
Youngjae inched closer and hear clearly what the other was saying over and over again as if it was some chant;
"why does nobody likes me, why does nobody wants to talk with me; Jooheon... why did you leave me alone? I'm sorry I wasnt there for you..."
This alone made Jae feel bad, he wasn't aware of the effect that he had on the other male. He was so lost in his thoughts when he heard the other male talking to him. Not wanting to be rude Jae looked up to see the male with puffy eyes. The sight hurting Youngjae's heart, but what the male had said nearly killed Youngjae with guilt;
"Hi, I'm Jackson... would you... Would you talk with me, I'm tired of being alone"
Youngjae didn't know what to say, so instead of saying anything he smiled and nodded, to which brought a slight bit of hope to the other who began smiling.
"Can you hug me until I fall asleep please Youngjae? You dont have to I was just wondering bec-"
Jackson couldnt even finish what he attempted to say because he was engulfed in a warm hug by hopefully his new friend.
Once Jackson was snoring softly Youngjae looked down at the male and smiled what he thought was a genuine smile.
"I hope you rest well now Jackson hyung. And I hope we could be really good friends, you seem like a guy who has been through more than me"
