"Hi baby." I said scooping up Antwan into my arms. "You missed mommy?"

He's been enrolled in this daycare and I love coming to pick him up.

"How was he?" I asked his teacher.

"Good. He had a nap around 1 so he shouldn't be too tired til tonight. He didn't eat snack though. We had grapes and sandwiches. He ate some of his sandwich and no grapes but I don't think he liked it because he usually loves snack."

"What kind of sandwiches?" I asked curious.

"Turkey and mayo."

"Hmm. He usually likes grapes, though. I wonder why he didn't eat. We had a big breakfast though so maybe that's why." I said placing Antwan on the opposite hip.

"I'll let you know if he eats tomorrow. If it becomes a pattern we'll look deeper into it but you're probably right he just wasn't hungry. He asked for the potty, though. He was probably trying to copy the older kids but it's still good progress considering his age." she said.

"Ooou baby boy you asking for the potty?" I said tickling him. He laughed hysterically. My boy really growing.

"Oh! And don't let me forget. Sydney's mom asked me to hand out these invitations for her birthday party in two weeks."

"Okay cool. Thanks. Come on let's go to the car so we can call dada." I said signing him out.

He screeched and clapped at the sound of his daddy's name.

I brought him out to my car strapping him in his seat. I locked the doors before FaceTiming Dash. He answered on the second ring.

"Hey baby." he said smiling into the camera.

"Hey. I got big news."

"Wassup?"

"Twan asking for the potty. His teacher said it's good for his age."

"That's wassup." he said grinning.

I passed the phone to the back handing it to Antwan.

"Dada!" he yelled drooling on my phone.

"Wassup lil boss?" Dash's voice said. "You was a big boy today?"

Antwan just laughed.

I pulled off making my way home. When I started the car it switched over to my bluetooth but I still let Twan hold my phone.

"When are you coming home?" I said pouting a little.

"I should be done in a few more days." he said sounding tired.

"We miss you." I said truthfully.
