Jalynn P.O.V.

"You nervous?" Rah asked me laughing.

"Yeah." I said as I sat next to him at the school.

I asked my dad to pick me up after the game today so he could meet Rah.

"Well stop. We got this." he said grabbing my hand.

I pulled it away and stood up when I saw my dad's car turn into the lot.

"Hey." I said hugging my dad.

"Hi princess." he said hugging me but not taking his eyes off Rah.

"Rah this is my dad. Daddy this is Rah. My boyfriend." The word still felt like foreign language rolling off my tongue.

"It's nice to meet you." Rah said dapping my dad up.

"Boyfriend?" my dad said chuckling.

"Dad can you chill. I invited Rah over tomorrow so everyone can get to know him."

"Is that right?" my dad said still laughing.

I hated when they didn't take me seriously I be serious as hell.

"My uber's here." Rah said falling back.

"Okay. I'll see you tomorrow. Around 4."

"Aight." he said before dapping my dad up again.

I looked at my dad who was still cracking up. I sighed and walked around him to the car.

When he got in the car he looked at me for a minute with a straight face before busting out laughing again. He was laughing so hard he couldn't breathe as we rode down the highway.

"WHAT is so funny ?!" I said getting annoyed which made him laugh even harder.

"Ya little ass caught me off guard." he said chuckling.

"What?"

"You really think I ain't know about ya lil boyfriend?" he said the last part sarcastically.

I sat there in silence.

"I find out everything, Jalynn. Ain't no secrets. I never would've guessed that you would introduce the nigga to me. You caught me off guard." he said still laughing.

I looked over at him. "So you knew this whole time?"

"Of course I knew. I did my research. He a good kid. On his shit. You could've picked a nigga like me but you didn't. I trust your judgment."

I started to smile as he spoke.

"So it's okay with you."

"Of course not. I don't want you ever dating. But I know I can't stop that. As long as he treat you right I ain't mad."

"Mom said the same thing."

"Wait a minute. She knew before me?"

"Umm.."

"So we keepin secrets now?" he said dialing her number and the phone started ringing on the car speaker.
