"Yea Cam!" we yelled as the ball sunk through the net. Just like that he was off down the court.
This was my favorite part of the year. My brother always been into basketball. We never missed a game. After his recovery he came straight back to this and he balled just as hard.
I was so proud of him.
I watched as some boy from the other team bumped Dash real hard and Dash stepped up to him. Cam ran over. I couldn't hear what was said but I saw Cam point at the scoreboard and they both started laughing and went back to the game.
"Ya brother is like that." Rah said wrapping his arm around me.
"Fasure. Always been." I said into the game.
I looked over at Dior who was cheering on the sidelines.
I wasn't into cheer anymore. I've been focusing on moving on from Bryson. Rah has been so helpful with that, always doing something to keep my mind off of it.
After the game we all headed down to congratulate Cam and Dash.
But Dejah beat us there. Dejah was Cam new girlfriend. I ain't have no problems with her. She was cool.
"Congratulations baby." she said kissing Cam.
"Thanks boo." he said. "Wassup y'all." He said turning to us.
"CoNgRatUlAtIoNs BaBy" Jayda said laughing.
"Jayda stop." I said chuckling.
"Congrats, yall." Rah said dapping up Cam and Dash.
""Thanks youngin." Cam said.
"Dashawn." Alyssa said walking over.
"What I tell you bout calling me that?"
"Your name?" she said with a confused expression.
"Alyssa you heard what I said."
I raised my eyebrows. She really lettin him talk to her like that.
"I just don't see why I can't ca-"
"You done?" he said stepping back.
"Dash, chill." I said laughing.
"Let's mind our business, stink." Rah said pulling me closer burying his face in my neck.
"Dashaw- I mean Dash.. why you actin like this? It's your name."
"How I'm acting?"
"Like you don't wanna be with me." she said sighing. Dash mugged her.
"Welp." Cam said chuckling. He grabbed Dejah's hand and pulled her away.
