Londyn POV
I sighed as I strapped Aniya into her carseat.
I moved out of the way so Tae could see her.
"Londyn bring your ass on!" my mom yelled from downstairs.
"Can y'all just go without me?" I yelled back.
"If I come up there I'm beating your ass all the way into Maryland."
"Ma that's not even possible!" I yelled back.
I heard her footsteps stomping up the stairs and I hopped up running to get the rest of my stuff together.
"Pussy." I heard Tae say under his breath.
"Go to hell."
This week was our family reunion for my dad's side and I really didn't wanna go.
I was lucky enough to miss out last year because I was so close to my due date but this year I had to go.
I really didn't like this side of my family there was always so much drama. I had a bunch of cousins that were always judging me and India because we was more fortunate.
"Come here." Tae said standing up.
I walked over into his arms letting him kiss me. "I'll see you when you get back."
"Okay." I said.
He picked up my suitcase and I grabbed Aniya's carseat and we headed downstairs to my dad's truck.
Once I secured her carseat in I climbed in next to her and Tae leaned in to kiss her one more time.
"Say bye bye." I said to Niy Niy and she just babbled.
Tae moved out of the car closing the door and my mom turned around to face me and India.
"I don't want no problems this week. I mean it."
I just rolled my eyes and put on my headphones.
An hour later we were on the jet and Aniya was already fussy.
I turned on my iPad for her and played PBS kids.
I leaned my head on the window and got a nap in while she was distracted.
I woke up later to Aniya crying. I couldn't calm her down so I sucked my teeth unbuckling her realizing she needed to be changed.
I put her in my lap and changed her diaper tying it up and taking it to the trash.
I kept Niy in my lap letting her sleep.
I laid my head back into the seat so I could sleep.
After a few more hours we were landing.
I changed Niy again and put her in her stroller strapping her in before giving her her bottle.
None of Your Concern by Jhene Aiko played in my ears as we walked through the airport.
I sat down in a chair rocking the stroller with my foot while I waited for my dad to get a rental car.
"Look at this." India said showing me her phone.
One of our cousins posted a countdown til she see her cousins on her story and tagged everybody but us.
"Mm." was all I said.
I ain't really care for none of my cousins. Well scratch that, my female cousins. My male cousins were the shit.
"I'm hungry as hell." India said.
