I got Antwan and I ready just in time when I heard the doorbell.

"Come on." I said picking up Antwan and walking downstairs.

I opened the door. "Good morning." Dash said taking Antwan from me.

"Morning. I'm ready let me just go make him som-"

"We can stop and get something come on."

"Okay." I said grabbing my purse and leaving out locking the door behind me.

I got in his truck while he strapped Antwan in.

He walked around and got in.

"Dashawn where are we going?"

"I told you Ima show you something."

We ended up going to Chick Fil A for breakfast and then to some big house in the back of the woods.

"Where are we?"

"Ima show you where I work." he said getting out.

He came around opening the door for me helping me out and then going to get Antwan.

"Dash are you crazy. I'm not bringing my son in there."

"Jayda." he said giving me a look.

I just sighed and followed him.

When we walked in there was a faint smell of weed.

He led me up some steps and into a room that was set up like an office.

"This is where I spend most of my day. Calling the shots. In a protected house. This is the safest place for me to be. Here or.. well it was at home."

I looked around. "Why are you telling me this?"

"Come here." he said leaving out and taking me to an empty office.  "When ya pops was runnin shit he made this room for Nae. So she could always know he was safe. Or know what's going on when he steps in the field."

I looked around at an old crib in the corner and a flat screen TV on the wall.

"That was Jalynn's." he said catching me staring at the crib. "I never wanted you to know what this place looked like. What I did when I wasn't home. But you're right. I was wrong for leaving you wondering like that. I want you to come here whenever you want. If I'm not here somebody will be able to tell you where I went. And you see this?" he said clicking on a compass app on the computer.

About 20 dots popped up on the screen.

"That's everybody locations."

I noticed three clustered together. "How?"

He reached into my shirt pulling out a necklace and then a bracelet on Antwan's wrist.

"Wow." I said.

I thought about how I didn't wear the necklace the day I went missing. That was one simple thing to prevent what happened. I made a mental note to never take it off again.

"I'm putting everything out there. I'm doing all I can, Jayda, but if this isn't what you want I understand."

"Dash I want you. More than anything."

He moved toward me backing me against the wall almost.

"All of me?"

"All of you." I said staring into his eyes.

He smiled hard before pulling me into a hug. The hug I longed for. He pulled away pressing his lips against mine.
