In Too Deep

Londyn POV

I woke up to the sunlight peeking through my blinds.

I looked at my clock seeing it was 7:02.

My body was conditioned to wake up at this time no matter what day it was or what time I went to sleep.

I slid out of my bed and walked to my bathroom to brush my teeth and do my skin care routine.

I pulled my hair back in a loose ponytail and slid on an old college hoodie.

I made my way down to Aniya's room and pushed the door open.

I snapped my fingers getting Gucci's attention then pointed out of her room so he would come.

I watched as he hopped off of her bed and trotted out of the room and toward the front door.

I made sure Aniya was still sleeping before closing her door back and grabbing Gucci's leash clipping it on.

We made our way outside and did our normal route around the block. I let him handle his business then picked it up with a bag throwing it away.

When we got back to the house I let him run in and hung up his leash.

I went to the bathroom to wash my hands before making my way back to Aniya's room to check on her. She still slept peacefully but I could tell by the way she had rolled over into a different position she would be waking up soon.

I filled up his water and food bowl and he happily made his way over to eat.

I decided to make some breakfast today. I cut up potatoes and onions and started to fry them. I lined bacon up in the pan and placed it in the oven and started to crack some eggs.

I looked up seeing my boogie walking in rubbing her eyes.

"Morning boog." I said kissing her forehead.

"Good morning mommy." she said wrapping her arms around my waist and I moved us away from the stove while I gave her some love.

"Go brush your teeth and wash your face so we can eat."

She bent over to kiss Gucci before both of them ran down the hallway.

I smiled turning back to the stove.

In ten minutes, I was making our plates and setting them on the table.

I poured some Cran-Apple juice in two cups and set them on the table as Niy Niy sat down and Gucci sat down at her feet. We said our grace and started to eat.

"Thank you mommy." she said biting into her bacon.

"You're welcome. What do you wanna do today? We going to Uncle Cam's house tonight."

She smiled at the sound of that. We carried on the tradition of Sunday dinners as a family and it was still held at Uncle Cam and Aunt Mani's house.

"Can Lala come over?" she asked referring to one of her best friends from school.

Lala's mom was Keisha and me and her were cool. We met in PTA. She was a couple of years older than me but our bond was still tight. We usually took the girls out places together and then having playdates became the normal.

"When you finish eating we can call Ms. Keisha and see if she can come over." I said and she got excited eating her food faster.

"Done." she said getting up and throwing her plate in the trash.

"Okay you can go get my phone from my bed."

She took off running down the hall, of course with Gucci on her heels.
