In Too Deep

Londyn POV
the next evening..

"That's beautiful boogie." I said looking at the picture she drew of us and Gucci.

I stirred my alfredo and set the spoon down turning back to look at her.

Gucci's barking made me turn my head toward the door just as I heard knocking.

I kissed Aniya's forehead before walking over to see who was at my door.

I looked through the peephole and rolled my eyes seeing Chase and Twan holding Ashton.

I opened the door letting them in.

"Ashton!" Niy said coming over to hug him.

Within seconds they disappeared down the hall to Niy Niy's room.

"Hey what y'all doing here?" I asked.

"I gotta take Ashton back home soon but I figured I let him come see you first. Chase bitch ass just wanted to come with me."

"Twan fuck you." Chase said taking a bag of chips out of my pantry.

"Sure go ahead eat Aniya's lunch snacks up."

"Thanks." he said matching my sarcasm and I shook my head.

We made our way to the living room and sat on the couch.

"I swear we never hear from your ass until Sundays."

"Nah. We get the occasional 'Londyn laughed at' messages." Chase said.

"I barely have time to pick up my phone. I just be so busy."

"I hear ya. I'm proud of you for doing something with your life and not just depending on family money." he said.

"I actually enjoy doing what I do. And plus I want to be able to leave Niy Niy her own fortune. That's the goal."

"She got a good ass mom." Chase said plopping on my floor.

"Thanks. Y'all wanna stay for dinner? I made chicken alfredo."

"Shidd you ain't gotta ask me twice!" Chase said and I just laughed at him.

They stayed until around 8:30 and then me and Niy got our showers and cleaned up her room.

Since we finished everything so early I brought her to my room and we climbed in my bed to watch a movie. She chose a Tinker Bell movie and she actually ended up sleeping in my bed.

the next morning..

I woke up and got my day started.

I sat at the table brushing Aniya's hair while she ate cereal.

"Mommy when I'm in fourth grade will you be my teacher?"

"I don't teach at your school, Boog. But I'm sure your teacher will be super nice."

"Like you?"

"Yes baby." I said kissing her once I finished her ponytail. "Go get your bag and stuff ready so we can go."

"Okay." she said getting up and going by the door to get her bookbag.

We left and I arrived at my mom's house shortly after.

I texted her waiting for her to open the door.

"Bye mommy." she said sitting up so I could kiss her.

"I love you boogie." I said kissing her cheeks over and over.

"I love you." she said getting out of the car and running to my mom.
