Sirius Black & Remus Lupin: Love Triangle Part 2

Remus version

Remus don't know how long he sat in the dark alley. Felt like hours but was probably minutes. He sat there and felt bad. He felt bad because Sirius wasn't mad at Remus for liking you. Sirius was mad at Remus because he didn't tell them that he liked you, so that Sirius could back of a little and not talk about you and him in Remus' presence.

Remus stood up and was heading towards Hogwarts when he heard footsteps running after him. He didn't turn around or care, not until he heard your voice.

"Remus!" You called. "Remus, wait!"

He stopped in his tracks and took a deep breath while you caught up to him. Your hair was beautiful in the night lights and your eyes seemed to shine more than usual. He remembered why he fell in love with you and remembered why he would never be able to get you.

"Why did you just walk away?" You asked.

"You had the other as company and thought that I would leave you alone," Remus muttered.

"But I came with you," You replied. "I wanted your company."

His heart skipped a beat. The affects you had on him was so weird, and amazing at the same time. His hope got up, just for him to push them down again.

You two walked in silence for a long while. Remus didn't know what to say and felt guilty for even walking beside you.

"Sirius asked me out today," You suddenly said and he froze in his tracks for a second just to quickly walk up to you again, hoping that you didn't notice.

"Really?" He managed to get out. "What did you say?"

"I rejected him," You shrugged. "I didn't want to hurt his feelings but told him that I had eyes on someone else."

Why was Remus' heart beating so fast? It's almost dark but somehow it seemed like he was in a oven because of so much that he was sweating right now. Did you notice? Did the sweat make him smell bad?"

"He asked my if it was you," Now you stopped walking and turned towards the tense werewolf boy who lost ability to speak an move. He could just stare into those eyes of hers.

"I didn't reply," You said almost whispering now, or it was just Remus. "But he told me that if it was you I should probably run after you and talk to you. That he deserved to know just as much as I did. I was confused at first but did as he told anyway. I think I figured out what he meant on my way to you. But I need to be sure, would you like to explain for me what Sirius meant?"

He gulped. Now was his time to tell you but what if you rejected him? What if he got all the signs wrong. A part of him wanted to kiss you right now but he was never that kind of person. So instead he took a deep breath and started talking.

"I like you," He said. "I like you and I've done that since 3rd grade."

Now, it was all out. He had said it. The words he had wanted to say since third grade. He felt such relief when the words were spoken, whatever you were going to say would at least bring one good thing, the guilt on his shoulders had lighten up a bit.

"I like you too," You suddenly said. "I'm not sure how long but I like you."

"Really?"

You chuckled, he was like an excited puppy but then he changed his expression, the guilt was back.

"What about Sirius?" He asked. "Isn't this wrong?"

You took his hand and all his nerves just tensed up and relaxed in a speed of lightning.

"Does this feel wrong?" You asked and kissed his hand. He shook his head, it felt perfect, like there would be anything more right in this world.

"Sirius wouldn't have done what he did and said what he said if he wasn't okay with it," You said. "Don't worry. We'll figure it out. Just let me embrace this moment."

Remus hand stroke away a bit of hair from you face. His hand stayed on your cheek and the urge to kiss you was big, but he didn't want to destroy this. But you took the chance and kissed him, softly on the lips.

It was perfect, only you and him under a sky where only the lights of the stars could be seen.
