Chapter Six

Kidd starts to quickly drive to Alexis's.
"Morgan it's going to be ok." Casey said.
"Captain, some of the only stuff I have left of my childhood is in that place." Alexis said.
"We will save as much we can." Casey said.
They get to her place.
"Oh my god." Alexis said as she sees her place in flames.
Alexis looks at Casey.
"Come on Morg." Kelly said.
They put their SCBA mask on and run in. Alexis slides on to the floor hoping that the fire didn't reach under her bed.
"Thank god." Alexis said squeezing the box like her whole life depending on it.
"Anything else?" Kelly asked.
Alexis gets up quickly and starts handing Kelly pictures.
"You guys have to get out of there." Casey said over the radio.
They walk out with a handful of things.
"Thank you Lieutenant." Alexis said.
"I'm here if you need anything." Kelly said.
"Thank you Lieutenant." Alexis said getting the picture frames from Kelly.
They take off their SCBA masks.
"Severide is fine." Kelly said.
"You guys ok?" Casey asked.
Alexis sighs.
"I'm fine besides not having a place to live since the sick arsonist wants to finish off what he started." Alexis said.
Kelly looks at her confused.
"I'll tell you back at 51." Alexis said.
They finish up the call.
"Morgan my office please." Kelly said.
They get to his office.
"What were you talking about at the call?" Kelly asked.
Alexis takes off her shirt and her only wearing a bra.
"You were right. I was dreaming about something. Well a nightmare. It was eight years ago in Fairmount, Indiana, I was maybe 16. It was 8pm at night. I was in my room so was my mom, little brother. Suddenly, my house was in flames. I tried calling for my family but the fire was so bad. First my mom stopped talking then my little brother. I knew then they were dead and I knew I was next. I felt my skin burning, melting then I saw black. When I woke up, I was in the burn unit and my family was gone. James was only eight." Alexis said with tears in her eyes.
Kelly wraps his arms around her.
"You can stay with me. I have an extra room." Kelly said.
"OFI is here." Casey said.
Alexis walks into the conference room with OFI.
"I'm Alexis Morgan." Alexis said.
"Captain Van Meter and Wendy Seager with OFI." Van Meter said.
"You're here to talk to me about my apartment." Alexis said.
"And the fire in Indiana." Van Meter said.
Alexis takes a deep breath.
"I already know who did it but good luck trying to catch him." Alexis said. 
"He's dead?" Seager asled.
Alexis shakes her head. Jay and Hailey walks into the conference room.
"We're with the Central Intelligence Unit. Kelly Severide called." Jay said.
"Of course he did. Gregory Brooks is the one who did it." Alexis said.
"The guy who escaped from Prison?" Hailey asked.
"That's the one." Alexis said.
"Do you have any evidence for why he would want to do this?" Jay asked.
"Eight years ago, there was a fire and a whole family died except one, Me. He wants to finish off his work." Alexis said.
Alexis runs out and runs back in.
"If you look at the two fires, they will be the same." Alexis said as she lays out pictures of the Indiana fire.
They all look at the two fires.
"They are very similar." Seager said.
"They are done by the same person!" Alexis said loudly.
"Alexis calm down." Jay said.
"It's Morgan." Alexis said annoyed.
"We will look into this." Van Meter said.
"Sure you are. I know how you guys work. You guys will just put this to the side since you guys are so far behind in the paperwork. But my whole family died in that fire! My brother was eight!" Alexis said annoyed.
Alexis walks out and lays on Kelly's bed in his office.
"You look happy." Kelly said.
"James was supposed to be turning 16 today. Today is his birthday." Alexis said as she starts crying.
"As brother James?" Kelly asked.
"Yeah." Alexis said.
Kelly hugs his new best friend.
"Take the rest of the shift off." Kelly said.
"I need to work." Alexis said.
"If I find something wrong, I'm pulling you out." Kelly said.
"Fine." Alexis said leaning her head back.
Kelly starts doing paperwork.
Engine 51, Truck 81, Squad 3, Ambulance 61, Warehouse Fire.
They get to the call.
"Someone is in there!" Guy yelled.
"We got barred windows. I need a 24 foot ladder and Mouch, Kidd, and Morgan follow me. We are going to try to find a window to get in." Casey said.
"Squad front door." Kelly instructed.
They begin walking around the warehouse.
"Captain there." Alexis said as she points to a window that's slightly opened.
"It's too small for anyone of us to fit." Casey said.
"I'm the smallest one. Someone can go behind me and pass me my SCBA gear." Alexis said.
"I'll do it." Kidd said.
Alexis climbs up the ladder and gets the window.
"Ready?" Kidd asked.
Alexis gives Kidd her SCBA gear. She climbs into the window and Kidd gives her the gear.
"Fire department call out!" Alexis calls out.
"Help!" Someone calls out.
Alexis finds the person.
"I'm going to get you out." Alexis said calmly.
"Hello darling." Gregory said.
Alexis looks behind her and everything goes black.
"Morgan?" Casey said over the radio.
Static comes over the radio.
"Severide has Morgan come out of the front door?" Casey asked over the radio.
"No why?" Kelly said over the radio.
"Morgan get out of there now!" Casey yelled into the window.
"Casey the place is going to go. Please tell me she's out." Kelly said over the radio.
"Severide!" Jay yelled running over to him.
"Please don't tell me she's in there." Jay said.
Kelly stares at the building hoping to see her best friend walk out the door.
