Chapter Ten

Alexis can finally return back to work.
"Well if it isn't Captain Matthew Casey." Alexis said.
Truck 81, Squad 3, Ambulance 61, car accident.
"Great, it's the stupid highway." Alexis said.
They get to the call.
"I'm going to be late to a meeting." A guy yelled.
"As you can see, there is an accident. So yes, you're missing that meeting." Alexis said.
"Alex with me." Kelly said.
Alexis walks to Kelly.
"I swear if you didn't call me, I would've probably punched him." Alexis said.
"That's why I called you." Kelly said.
"Help!" Kids scream.
"Help me up." Alexis said as they run to the bus. 
Kelly helps her up and he climbs up.
"What's going on?" Alexis asked.
"The bus over turned." A kid said.
"I need help by the bus. I have around 24 kids and most of them have minor injuries." Kelly said over the radio.
Cruz climbs on top of the bus.
"Help has arrived." Cruz said.
"Can any of you walk?" Alexis asked.
Kids start walking to her.
"Cruz, be ready." Alexis said.
Alexis hands Cruz one kid at a time.
"Alex, I need you." Kelly said.
"Oh." Alexis said as she sees the two kids next to each other with a rebar in them. 
"I need a sawzall." Kelly said over the radio.
They get the kids out.
"Morg, can you come with us for backup?" Brett asked.
"Yeah, go. Just catch a ride with them." Casey said.
They get to Med.
"Wow, missed us already?" Will asked sarcastically.
Alexis smacks Will's arm. Will and Alexis has that brother and sister friendship.
"Alexis Morgan, back so soon?" Connor said.
"Shush it." Alexis said.
"Morg, lets go." Foster said.
They get back to the firehouse.
"Morgan, can I speak to you in my office?" Casey asked.
"I don't have a choice, do I?" Alexis asked.
Casey looks at her.
"I'm coming. I'm coming." Alexis said.
They get to his office.
How’s your hand?” Casey asked.
“What are you getting at?” Alexis asked.
“Nothing. I need to make sure all my firefighters are ok.” Casey said.
“Or the ones where she almost died by the same person?” Alexis asked.
Casey looks at her.
“Maybe both.” Casey said.
“I’m ok, Captain. You don’t need to keep asking me. Unless you want to annoy me.” Alexis said.
“I’m here if you need to talk.” Casey said.
“I get those a lot.” Alexis said.
“You probably do but I mean mine.” Casey said.
"Thank you." Alexis said.
"It's what family is for." Casey said.

I promise it's going to get better. I have some good ideas and I'm excited to write them. ALexis is finally going to get her love interest soon!!!
