Chapter Twenty Eight

Alexis wakes up still laying on Will's lap.
"Moring sleeping beauty." Will said.
Alexis smiles and sits up.
"What?" Will asked as Alexis looks at him.
"I heard everything  last night." Alexis said.
"You what?" Will said.
"I wasn't fully asleep yet." Alexis said.
"I uh." Will said trying to find words.
Alexis kisses Will.
"You're cute when you can't find the right words to say." Alexis said.
"Shush it." Will said as he kisses Alexis.
Alexis giggles. They continue to kiss. Alexis gets a phone call.
A: What
K: You didn't come home.
A: I'm at Will's.
K: Will's, huh.
A: Shush it and I have a Boxer's fracture.
K: What?!
A: It's fine. I'll be out of work for a few weeks.
K: Now who am I going to tease when we're on shift?
A: Bye Love you.
K: Love you too.
Alexis hangs up.
Will smiles.
"What?" Alexis asked.
"You're so beautiful." Will said.
Alexis smiles.
"Will you Alexis Rae Morgan go to the Hospital Gala with me?" Will asked.
"Are you asking me out on a date, William?" Alexis asked.
"Yes, I am Alexis." Will said.
Alexis kisses Will.
"Now I need coffee." Alexis said.
Will smirks as Alexis walks to the kitchen.
"I feel that smirk, Willam." Alexis said.
"I'm not doing anything." Will said.
"Liar." Alexis said.
Will sneaks behind Alexis.
"Shush it." Alexis mouths as she's waiting for Boden to answer his phone.
B: Morgan?
A: I'm sorry that it's early but I'll be out for the next 6 weeks. I have a Boxer's fracture from when I punched the wall. 
B: You deserve that vacation. You need it. I know what's coming and I can have Severide be off. You can also stay at 51 since I know that we have shift.
A: I'll be fine. I'll most likely go to Indiana.
B: We're all here for you. I know as of right now, Severide is going to try to get off.
A: I know. He's my big brother but also my  my best friend. When the day comes try to not let him come.
B: I'll try my best, but you know how he is when it comes to you. 
A: Thank you.
The call ends.
Someone knocks on the door.
"It's for you." Will said.
Alexis walks to the door.
"Jay Halstead." Alexis said.
"Alexis Morgan." Jay said.
"What do you want?" Alexis asked.
"I need you help with a case." Jay said.
"Jay Halstead needs help?" Alexis said.
"Are you coming?" Jay asked.
Alexis steals one of Will's sweatshirts and they get to the precinct.
"What?!" Alexis said confusingly as she sees her dad's picture on the board as a suspect.
"He murdered a wife and husband." Jay said.
"He really did change over the year." Alexis said.
"When was the last time you talked to your father?" Hank asked.
"Yesterday at the firehouse." Alexis said.
"What did you talk about?" Hank asked.
"Look up what happened 8 years ago in Indiana." Alexis said walking into the break room.
Jay follows her in and hugs her already knowing what happened.
"It's ok if you don't want to do this. It's fine. If I start freaking out just call Kelly. He knows how to quickly calm me down." Alexis said.
"Ok. Last thing, you and Will?" Jay asked.
"I already got teased this morning." Alexis said.
Jay smiles. Alexis sits on Jay's file cabinet.
"Do you know the victims?" Adam asked.
Alexis looks at the victims.
"No, I've never seen them before." Alexis said.
"Random murder?" Adam asked.
"We have another murder."  Kevin said.
"Oh my god." Alexis said.
Everyone leaves except Alexis.
She takes a sip of the coffee she got in the break room and spits it back into the cup. Alexis walks down the stairs.
"Trudy, you want anything? I'm getting a decent cup of coffee." Alexis asked.
"Cup of coffee, please." Trudy said.
Alexis smiles and leaves.
"If it isn't my daughter." Wyatt said.
