Chapter Thirty Four

Alexis breaks the window behind the driver's seat and climbs in.
"Liv?" Alexis said as she holds her head still.
Olivia is unconscious.
"I need a c-collar now!" Alexis said getting emotional.
Alexis's phone goes off.
"It's probably her mother." Alexis said.
Jack takes the call. Alexis gets her on a backboard.
"Jill said that Olivia was supposed to stay with you." Jack said.
They get to Med.
"Will." Alexis said as tears go down her face.
"What is she doing here?" Will asked as they get into bed 3.
"She was supposed to stay with me." Alexis said as she's about to break down.
"We have her. I'll update you on her condition." Will said.
They get back to the firehouse.
Kelly sees that his best friend is about to break down so he brings her to his office.
"Let it all out." Kelly whispered as he hugs Alexis.
Alexis starts crying not wanting to lose another Baker.
"I can't lose another one." Alexis said sobbing.
"I know you can't and you won't." Kelly said.
"Morgan, CPD is here." Jack said.
"Stay here and talk to them." Kelly said.
Alexis wipes her tears.
"Hey, I figured you would be more comfortable talking to me." Jay said.
"Do you know what happened?" Alexis asked.
"Hit and run. We found the car but no driver." Jay said.
"That's just great." Alexis said getting upset.
Alexis gets a phone call.
J: I'm coming to Chicago.
A: Don't, I have her. She can stay in Chicago with me. I'm surrounded by firefighters and I know everyone in the ED.
J: I want updates every chance you get.
A: I will. Jill, don't worry.
Call ends.
"Sorry that was Jill, Liv's mom." Alexis said.
"It's fine." Jay said.
"Do you know who did it?" Alexis asked.
"We couldn't get facial recognition but we're trying. Voight said that we're keeping this case since she's basically one of us." Jay said.
Alexis hugs Jay.
"It's going to be ok." Jay said.
Jay gets called in.
"I have to go." Jay said.
"Be careful." Alexis said.
"You too." Jay said.
Jay runs off. Shift goes by very slowly as Alexis just wants to be with her sister.
"Shift will be over in no time." Kelly said to his best friend.
Alexis stares at the ceiling of Kelly's office.
"I hate this time of the year." Alexis said.
"I know you do." Kelly said.
Alexis sighs. Kelly hugs Alexis knowing that she would need a hug in a few minutes.
"You know I'm always here for you when you're down." Kelly said.
"I do." Alexis said not getting out of the hug.
