Chapter Twenty Nine

Alexis secretly calls Jay.
"Can't I just get coffee?" Alexis asked.
"No, you're my daughter." Wyatt said.
"I'm not your daughter. Your family died." Alexis said.
"No they didn't. You're my daughter who helped my son." Wyatt said.
"You have no right to talk about Jamie." Alexis said.
"I do. He's my son." Wyatt said.
"You left your eight year old son in a fire! Where he died!" Alexis said.
"I was saving myself." Wyatt said.
"What about your family?! Your wife and son is dead! Your daughter is permanently scarred!" Alexis shouts getting mad.
"CPD everyone out!" Jay yelled.
Everyone runs out except Wyatt, Alexis and Intelligence.
"Why did you leave us in there?" Alexis asked.
"You guys were too weak." Wyatt said.
Hank drags him out.
"Hey." Jay said hugging Alexis.
"Luke." Alexis said.
Kelly storms in and Alexis sobs into Kelly's chest.
"Why don't you come back and spend time at 51." Kelly said.
Alexis wipes away her tears.
"I'm sorry." Kelly said.
Alexis shakes her head. Kelly kisses her forehead.
They get to 51.
"There's the troublemaker." Casey said.
Alexis sticks her tongue out.
"I have to tell Boden that I'm here." Kelly said.
"Morg!" Brett shouts.
Alexis walks to 61.
"I hear that you have a new guy." Brett said.
"I don't know what you're talking about." Alexis said.
"Oh really." Brett said.
Alexis looks at her partner and smiles.
"I got two words." Brett said.
Alexis raises her eyebrow.
"Will Halstead." Brett said.
"Oh really. What told you that?" Alexis asked trying to keep her cool.
"Halstead." Brett said.
"Which one?" Alexis asked.
Brett looks at her.
"Well there is two of them." Alexis said.
"The older one." Brett said.
Alexis smiles.
"I'm happy for you." Brett said.
"Any new lovers?" Alexis asked.
"No." Brett said.
"Liar, I can see it in your face." Alexis said.
"No." Brett said lying.
"Two words." Alexis said.
Brett looks at her partner.
"Matthew Casey." Alexis whispered.
Brett smiles.
"I knew it." Alexis said.
A week passes and it's time for the hospital gala.
"You look beautiful." Will said as he looks at his girlfriend.
Alexis looks at her arm that got burned in the Indiana fire.
"Here." Will said as he gives Alexis his suit jacket.
"You're truly the best." Alexis said.
"Oh really?" Will said.
Alexis kisses Will.
They get to the Gala.
"You look beautiful." Natalie said.
"So do you." Alexis said.
Will and Alexis start to drink.
"I'm Lucy Garner, the founder of fire families. It's for people who lost family members because of fires. I have a great friend who's been with this cause since she was 16. My good friend Alexis Morgan." Lucy said.
"What?" Will said.
Alexis smiles and walks to the stage.
"I'm Alexis Morgan, I'm a firefighter medic. I first joined when I was back in Indiana living with my adopted family, The Bakers. After the fire, I felt depressed since I lost all of my family in that fire. But this organization helped me get through it. It did help that my adopted father, Luke was a firefighter. His house took me in like my own. They helped me to feel more secure with my scars. They helped me through the toughest times in my life. I'll walk in there and I instantly get attacked with hugs. Fire families helped me learn to live with these scars. I appreciate it so much." Alexis said.
