Amy looked out to her left, she could see the snow topped Canadian Rockies below. She scanned the entire area and knew somewhere down there was the man who years ago, held her so tightly in the hospital, when she trembled and cried from the darkness of her blindness. She vowed to herself, she would do whatever it takes to find him, hold him tightly in her arms, and never let him go.                       Ty............❤️❤️

Chapter 10-11

After about 30 minutes Ty was walking down tulip street in his dream. He was so lonely and despondent living in his little apartment. He had decided to walk several miles to his old childhood home. Ty felt the house calling to him. He heard voices in the house laughing and having fun. He walked quickly, hoping he could move back into his old home. Convinced no one but Lyndy loved him, he hoped there was a sliver of love left in that old house for him. As he walked in his dream, he saw Jack drive by in his old truck. Jack saw Ty, their eyes met for a moment as Jack almost stopped to say something. Tim was riding in the bed of the truck, sitting on a bronc. Both Tim and the Bronc gave Ty a stern look. Then Ty heard Jacks engine rev up, and roar off. He had no idea why Jack ignored him so often, but it hurt Ty's feelings. Jack used to be like a father to him.

Ty glanced at his watch, it was 4:00. He knew in a couple hours everyone would be gathering around the big table at Jacks house for Sunday evening dinner. He saw Amy sitting in her chair, with Lyndy next to her.
Lou & Peter we're there, with Georgie sitting between them. Tim was at the far end; and sitting in Ty's old chair was Amy's new boyfriend. A lawyer from Calgary who sued anyone he did not like, and some he did like. His name was Alfred Domino the 4th. He had orange spiked hair, an earring in his nose, brand new S1000.00 bills hung from his ears, he wore purple tennis shoes and a giant tattoo of a fire hydrant covered his nose, and cheeks. Ty shook his head, and crossed 5th street. In Ty's opinion Alfred was a total idiot. He despised horses, horseback riding and barns. Why would he have any interest in Amy. The real question was why would Amy date such a jerk. Ty convinced himself the real reason was, Amy wanted to annoy him. Well, it did annoy Ty. But, Ty could care less who Amy dated, although he resented Lyndy being anywhere near the creep. Ty clenched his fists and wanted to beat the tar out of the orange haired freak. He also wished some flea infested dog would lift his leg and pee on Alfred's fire hydrant!!

Ty wondered why Amy was so into hurting people by handing them cardboard boxes full of things from their past. Photos and sentimental items that represented a love between two people. Ty figured Amy probably had a dozen boxes all lined up in the barn. Ready to hand out & devastate more people. Ty decided the next time Jack and Lisa went out of town, he would take Amy's stupid box, set it on Jack's dock, fill it with gasoline and firecrackers & throw a match at it. Amy would hear and see that Ty could care less about her, her stupid boyfriend, her ridiculous box,  and her meaningless life. Just thinking about Amy set Ty off!!

Before long Ty approached Henry's house on the corner. He stopped and looked in the yard. Henry was gone, his leash cut and dangling from the old cable running thru the yard. His dog house had collapsed on 2 sides. Ty opened the gate & walked up to the front door.
Stapled onto the wood door were two official pieces of paper from the City of Calgary. The left one informed the homeowner, an animal control officer had confiscated a dog with no tags who was tied to an overhead run line, in mud with no water. The dog was starving, with ribs showing, had fleas and had sores on his feet and stomach for spending his days in the mud.

The paper on the right was a summons to appear in City Court on animal cruelty  charges. Failure to appear would be a poor decision. Ty smiled and hoped they locked the bastards up and threw away the key.
