Lyndy & Jackson
Chapter 10-24; part 2 of 2
By; mike hurleyTy, I have a surprise for you!!.......Ty turned and stared at her, he was shocked, he paused, then slowly asked, ......if she was pregnant again......
Jim, Cal & Jen stepped off the elevator & walked to Millie's hospital room. They found her all dressed and sitting in a chair, she was ready to go home. The room exploded with hugs and smiles and extra hugs for the expectant parents. After many tests and a couple new prescriptions for her heart, she felt 10 years younger. Her cheeks had color & her smile was happy!! Millie was ready to go home. Jason was waiting in the car as Millie sprang out the wheelchair, Jim helped her into the car, and sat close to Millie like they were on their 3rd date.
Cal started carrying a backpack everywhere he & Jen went together. Inside he packed some bottled water, apple juice, snacks, and some molasses cookies his mom baked & mailed to Jen. He fussed over her constantly, & often drove her crazy, but at the end of everyday Jen smiled as she saw how much he loved her and what an incredible dad he would be.
She found a box tucked away in the back of a shelf in the basement storage room. She carefully opened and peeked inside. She giggled and smiled at the delightful items she saw. Jen pulled out a baseball glove for a 5 year old. Several beginner LEGO sets, a little junior fishing pole, a bicycle helmet, and many other items that almost made her cry. The one that filled her eyes with tears was a small box of Flintstones BandAids!! Cal was getting ready to be a dad!! Omg!! She couldn't believe what he was doing. She waddled up stairs and found him asleep on the sofa. She carefully laid next to him, trying to get most of her belly on the sofa. She raised one of his eyelids and simply said; do you have any idea how much I love you?? Jen never revealed she knew about his box!!
On the way home to Jim & Millie's, Jen pulled out her cell & tried calling Ty. She got voice mail & left a message telling him she was in Calgary at Jim & Millie's for a few days. She asked about Henry and asked Ty to call her. She sent a hug to Amy.

Little Lyndy was in her bed and sound asleep for her nap. She was in a very beautiful dream. She was at the beach with her mum, and her papa, they were walking in the surf, the ocean waves ticked her toes. A dolphin swam close and sang a little song for her. A blue dog climbed down a tree and gave them all ice cream cones. The dog walked with them for a long ways, then licked Lyndy's cheek and boarded a big yellow school bus. Lyndy's papa picked her up onto his tall shoulders. She waved to the blue dog as the school bus drove away. They walked some more and met Grandpa Jack and Grandma Lisa for a picnic. Grandpa pulled a purple watermelon out of his shirt pocket and a robin sat on a branch overhead and laughed.
Soon Lyndy woke up and pointed to the pond and told her grandparents all about the singing dolphin and the blue dog who loved ice cream. His favorite was blue chocolate chip & mint!! 🍦

The London Fort had lunch all made for their guests. Wendy and Amy sat next to each other and chatted about everything, but laughed and smiled the most when they discussed men. Wendy told Amy how excited she was to finally meet Clive. She laughed and was still in disbelief at how she fell in love with a guy before she actually met him. She asked Amy how she and Ty met. Amy smiled and gave her the short version of that story. Wendy wanted to know what it was like when Amy first realized that Ty was the one.
Amy explained that they had dated and then were engaged, then broke up & the whole process took about 8 years before they actually married. Wendy looked surprised and said; I can't imagine waiting that long, I mean a couple years might be good, but 8??
