Chapter 10-6

"How much do you love Ty"?? He asked Amy.
"I would do anything for him"!! She replied.

Amy walked 2 Kilometers down the road. She walked quickly & was in a hurry to arrive at Ty's childhood home. She wished Wolfe could have joined her, she only knew him for a brief time, but she felt safe around him, and he calmed her rattled nerves.
She was uncertain about the eagle. On one hand she felt safe having him nearby, patrolling and guarding her. But on the other she found him to be quite disturbing, his use of power was rash and his judgment, well she didn't think he had any. She saw a paradox of sorts in the fact that Wolfe had described the Wolverine, pretty much how she expected a Wolverine to act. But the eagle had similar traits, maybe more disconcerting than a Wolverine. She remembered from school that the wolverine was the fiercest land animal on the planet; probably because he was crazy. Faced with an uncertain situation, he would rip  up anyone around, and ask questions on the way out,......maybe!!

She saw the 4 trunked tree ahead. No sign of a Wolverine. He probably was bored waiting for her, and found a couple grizzly bears to attack!! What a day, she sighed!! Amy quickly felt in her pockets for the parachute, her knife, and touched her bracelet.  No wolverine, she would just go on alone. The eagle had left her, only moments before. She had no time for games!! She felt a grumpy, bad mood coming on.

Amy decided to be polite and wait 5 minutes. She leaned against one of the tree trunks; suddenly Amy heard a burp and a Panago Pizza box landed next to her. Saved you a couple slices of pepperoni & sausage in case you were hungry, after dealing with that stupid eagle. This morning that clown flew over and dropped a tire wrench on me; hit me in the leg, it's still all bruised up. What are you doing up there?? Amy asked the Wolverine, as she gazed up the tree. Trying to catch me an eagle for dinner, he snarled. Amy smelled the pizza, she loved Panago's, then tried a slice. It was still warm. Panago's Pizza is in Okatoks. Are we close to Okatoks?? She asked. How should I know, replied Wolverine. I snatched this pizza out of a dumpster, dragged it into my den. Next thing I know, I'm in your dream. Amy choked on the pizza & quickly put her piece back in the box. Wolverine quickly chugged down 2 cans of Coors, & threw the cans out into the field, and began climbing down the tree. He burped again when he hit the ground.

Are you some kind of a princess?  He asked Amy. No, and evidently you're not a prince, the way you throw your trash around. Come on, I need to be someplace, and I need you to drop me off. Drop you off?? Snarled the animal. Do you see a GMC or a taxi around here?? We're walking!! Unless a princess can't walk, he snorted. Wow!! Amy exclaimed; You reek of something nasty smelling, plus alcohol on your breath, and your rude!! This must be some kind of mistake!! Amy exclaimed. Oh, and now you're drunk, as he swaggered to the road. Hey Princess, if you want an escort on your little outing, you had better cheer up. This is not a walk in the park. A whole menagerie of bad dudes wait up that road for us, a little pizza and beer is just getting me in the mood!!

Amy decided to ignore the smelly, intoxicated flea bag & start walking. Soon they were in a thick forest of giant elm and birch. The wind picked up and danced between the branches, it played an eerie, disturbing melody for them. Amy had been walking as fast as she could. This place creeped her out, Wolverine was smelling worse by the minute, he burped again, loudly; and she just wanted to reach Ty's house. She was hoping even an empty house might be an escape from this place and this effervescent dirt bag creature!! The road made a quick right turn and up ahead, a barn sat right in the road. A barn?? Amy stopped and stared, it was the Hanley barn. Mr Hanley's house was set on top of his barn, attached with about 100, 2X4's.
She became nervous, scared and wished Ty was here. Ty always protected her, made her feel safe, and would know what to do here.
