Chapter 23 Guys. Thank you reading. 📖❤

"Milo? What's wrong?" I sit up so I can hear him properly. Why do we do that? It's like turning the music down when we are driving so we can see the address your going too.

"I don't have much time to explain. Can you grab a pen and paper" I lean over and grab the notepad and pen on the phone table.

"Okay yeah got one"

"Okay write down Lourdoun Train Station. I need a lift. I can't explain now but I just need you to come. Is that okay?"

"Yeah I know it. Okay I'll be about 40 minutes. Do you need me to bring anything?" I listen but the lines gone dead. I pull my shoes back on and grab my keys. I scan the room for anything I may need to bring. It's still raining pretty heavy, If their still at the station there going to be soaked, there's no cover there. What the hell happened? They were supposed to be getting the train back this morning. I run upstairs and grab three large, fluffy white towels from the airing cupboard. I know Milo didn't take a coat, I didn't see the other two men before they left but Milo emerged from his room in a white shirt and black Jeans. He left straight away and I noticed his coat still hanging by the front door when I came back from taking Steph to the hospital. I run back down and out to the car. The drive is slow. I have too. The rain is lashing down against the windshield. I've got the wipers all full speed. I crank the heat up in the car. I reach the station in just over an hour. Three very soaked men in tight, now very see- through T Shirts are looking at me like I've just saved the world. They all run over to the car as soon as I pull up. Milo jumps in the front and the other two climb in the back. I hand over the towels to each one and they thank me. I turn the heating up more and pull back out of the station carpark.

"Okay, what the hell happened?"

"We've had the shittest night" Milo says while towel drying his hair then wrapping it round his shoulders. "When we got off the train earlier, we got mugged"

"What the fuck, like actually robbed?"

"Yes at fucking knife point by all accounts"

"Oh my god. Are you all okay?" I glance in my mirror. The two men in the back are both towering drying their hair so I can't see what they look like.

"Yeah we're fine. There was six lads all with knives. They give me a punch to the face and my lips spilt open but it could have been worse. Paul got a kick to the ribs"
He gestures to the boy sitting behind me, who removes the towel and gives me a wide smile. He's fairly good looking with bright ginger hair and brown eyes. " Once they had taken all our phones, watches and wallets they left us alone"

"Shit! That's awful. Did you phone the police?"

"No we couldn't get hold of a phone to do it and there's no phone boxes round here"

"How did you phone me?"

"A lady passing by lent me her phone quickly. Yours was the only persons number I remembered" My subconscious waves her hands in the air in delight. Only knows my number! Yessss!

"Bloody hell so what happened to the hotel and the gig? Where did you stay last night?"

"Well when we got to the gig, luckily we had to pick the tickets up from there, we didn't already have them or they probably would have taken them too but without ID they wouldn't give them too us"

"Fuck, you really have had a shit night"

"Not even the worse of it. So we finally managed to convince them to give them too us after I found a receipt in my pocket with the end of my card number on which matched the tickets. It was totally against the policy but I think she felt sorry for us. She let us ring the police and we had to miss the gig because we had to go to the station to make a statement. I phoned my bank and cancelled all my cards from there. I didn't even think of phoning you from there and by the time we left it was 3am. They were nice enough to drop us off by the hotel but again they wouldn't let us stay because we had no money to pay".
