I follow him into his office. I'm more than pissed off. I know I shouldn't be because I pretended too but still. This arsehole has shown me round the entire building, acting like I'm an absolute idiot! I had to stop to phone to the estate agent about the house viewing. Walking round with this clown I knew I wasn't going to be able to leave before the office closed. Dont get me wrong he was good at his job, but he so arrogant with it 'Let me show you round, here this is where you can photocopy, can you make tea?' Bitch I built this company, is he absolutely crazy! Its 5PM before he finishes treating me like a 5 year old.

"You're free to go" He dismisses me with his hand. Rude. I'm lost for words I just stand there. It's my fucking company. He's really starting to annoy me. He smiles at me. "Or was there something else?"

"Uhhh, yeah can I just remind you, I am actually the boss. Like you know that right?"

"Yeah okay"

"Okay so you know I can fire you right?"

"And why would you do that?"

My gosh, he's so frustrating. He is proper getting under my skin. No one has ever annoyed me this much. I take a deep breath and close my eyes. Once I open them again, he has picked up his mobile and has it too his ear. I want to snatch it off him and throw it at his stupid pretty face, he swivels his chair away from. I'm literally speechless. No words at all. I just walk out of the office and to the lift.

By the time I reach reception I'm practically foaming at the mouth. How dare he! I don't know whether I should go back up and fire him or leave and go back to the hotel and cry into a big bag of chocolate and wine.

"Off home for the evening Miss Oliver?" Aaron greets me with a big smile. Its infectious. Instantly ny anger has evaporated.

"Yeah I think so. Hey I know this is random, but do you fancy some dinner and drinks tonight?"

"I would love too" He practically squeals in delight. His two fellow receptionists glare at him. I get the feeling they do that a lot. I'll have to speak to him about that. "But, I think you have a better offer" I read his face for any emotion as he pushes me a note.

It's handwritten on company branded paper. The writing is neat. I briefly scan over it. James is asking me for dinner. Christ! No thanks.

"Actually Aaron, I don't think I do. Still fancy it?"

"Absolutely babe. Sorry Miss Oliver" He smooth's his suit jacket down as he corrects himself.

"Ali, please. Well come on then. Grab your shit and let's go" His eyes light up at my swear word. I know he works for me and I should be 'appropriate' but I've had just about enough for one day. Well one week, I need a friend and what I desperately need is.....wine!

Aaron grabs his bag and follows me to the parking garage. He directs me to a small little restaurant close to my hotel. We sit and order, considering its Friday, I am having a few wines. I order a steak and a bottle of red wine. Aaron tells me all the office gossip but what I'm curious about James.

"So basically that's it" He says, after telling me all the office gossip. "You'll be fine with us Ali. It's a great place to work and James really is a great boss"

"He is? Really?"

"Yeah he's great. He was my neighbour for a really long time and when my mum passed away, he really looked after me, so when he got the job at the company, he made sure I had a job too. That's why Paula and Cheryl don't like me much." He pulls a glum face over his glass. I get it now, bloody hell, they dont like him because the boss got him a job and now he's just left with the bug boss for dinner. They are not going to be kind to him on Monday. I need to sort that"Not that I care. I love my job there and I'm good at it. Doesn't matter how I got the job" He finishes his glass and pours himself another and mine.
