Heart breaking
"Ma'am nakauwi na po ang mommy nyo." Bungad sa akin ng kasambahay ng makauwi ako galing kila Gad.
I smiled widely.
"Where are they?" I happily asked.
I missed them.
"Sa library po." Mabilis akong umakyat sa library at hinanap sila mommy.
"Hi mom!" Sabay silang napatingin sa akin. My beautiful mom smiled at me tiredly. Natigil ako. I thought they went out of the country for business at sinabayan na nila ng vacation? Why they look so tired? "Hey dad!" Mas mahinang bati ko. Nakaramdam na.
"Hey sweetheart." Mahinang bati ni daddy nahalatang tumanda rin dahil sa buhok sa mukha nya.
"Y-you should take a rest for today, mom and dad." Kalmadong saad ko.
Im sad that they look tired.
"We bought you pasalubong, check it on your room hija." Lumapit si mommy sa akin at hinalikan ako sa gilid ng noo. "We'll catch up later, tapusin lang namin 'to." She said referring to the mountain of paper besides my dad's computer. Tumango ako.
I'm kinda excited for the presents.
"Okay,cSee you!" I said then walked out of the room.
I quickly went to my room and check the paper bags on my bed. Gosh! There's a lot and they are from famous and expensive brand of bags, shoes and clothing I always like.
I smiled. I love mom and dad spoiling me like this.
Maayos kong inilagay sa walk in closet ang mga gamit. Nang matapos ay nag-shower ako at ginawa ang routine ko tuwing gabi na hindi ko nagawa nung mga nakaraang gabi.
Nang mahihiga na ako ay biglang tumawa ni Gad.
"Hey." His voice were husky that gave butteflies to my stomach.
I smiled. "H-hey." Mahinang bati ko pabalik.
I felt my cheeks heating up, oh gosh Aho hindi ka naman ganyan, dapat mainis ka kay Gad kasi inaabala ka na naman nya!
"Kumusta sila Tita?" Tanong nya.
"They are still working." I said.
Natahimik naman sya. "But you know what? They bought me my favorite brand for clothing and stuffs!" Masayang kwento ko. "That's why I always like when mom and dad were out of the country." I honestly said.
"You're so materialistic Ahonoama." It doesn't sound like an insult so I smiled.
"I know, I was born with it you know." Napatingin ako sa gilid ko kung saan may flower vase at doon ko inilalagay ang mga roses na bigay ni Gad, speaking of. I forgot to put there today's flower. Tumayo ako at bumaba.
"Im going to take a entrance exam tomorrow." Saad ni Gad. "I may not be able to accompany you tomorrow wherever you are going."
"I'm not going anywhwere tomorrow Gad, I'm just gonna stay here with my parents." I said, sinenyasan ko yung kasamabahay na naglilinis sa kusina na kunin yung bulaklak sa bagahe ko kanina nung umuwi ako.
"Good, text me if you're going out." Tumango ako. "And always go with a guard or driver." Ngumiti ako.
Gosh caring.
"I said im not going out Gad." Ngumiti ako sa kasambahay ng inabot nya sa akin ang lantang bulaklak. Tumulak na rin ako paakyat.
"Okay chill, what do you want I'll buy pasalubong for you." Saad nya.
"Bakit san ka ba mage-exam?" Tanong ko.
"Cavite." Nahinto ako.
"Ang layo naman." Saad ko.
"Nandoon kasi yung mga admin sa school na gusto kong pasukan sa States." Napatango ako.
"O-okay." Gosh why does he have to study abroad. "J-just pass the exam, I'm fine with it."
I dont know if I mean it or not.
"You should go to sleep. Good night Ahonoama, wag makulit." I heard him chuckled a bit.
Oh gosh my heart should calm down.
"Good night and goodluck." I said, after a second he ended the call.
Ngumiti ako at dumiretso sa kwarto nila mommy to say goodnight sana, gabi na rin at hindi na kami makakapag-catch up tulad ng plano, siguro ay bukas nalang.
I was about to knock when the door were slightly open and I accidentally overheard them.
"No Mr. Samson, please dont cancel the invest--hello?!" My mom's panicking voice.
"Its fine Almira, it's just Mr. Samsom not a big deal." Dad said.
"Not a big deal!?" Sigaw ni mommy. "Naririnig mo ba sarili mo?" I saw mom held her heart and feel the pain, I saw it in her facial expression.
Parang pinipiga ang puso ko.
Naglakad sya sa kabilang parte kung saan hindi ko na nakita.
"We're losing every investor in our company. We're going bankrup, not a big deal huh?"
"Calm down Almira, your heart is not in a good condition right now, please." Dad's worried voice.
Dad's look at mom is just heart breaking, I see too much love and it's just painful.
