Waiting
I look at dad while we're on our way home.
After some errand with dad's Attorney and police officers, they released me. But I was told that I should stay home while the trial is ongoing, yes they sue me.
They sue a freaking minor!
"Athena Mores?" Sad asked. I look at him. "Do you know her?" Tanong nya muli. Tumango ako.
"Yes, kaklase sya ni Gad, and we sometimes bumps into each other." I said.
Dad's only left car stop in a modern simple family house, very unlikely to our huge mansion.
"Let's talk inside." The Attorney in the front seat spoke. The driver parked the car besides the house. Lumabas kami ni daddy.
Agad akong namangha sa ganda kahit na hindi ito tulad ng mansion namin.

Nang makapasok kami sa loob ay walang tao pero nandoon sa sala ang lahat ng gamit namin. Even my un-open shopping bags were there, I almost forgot about those!

Mabilis kong hinanap si mommy ng maalala ito.
"Wala tayong laban sa kaso." The Attorney suddenly announce out of nowhere.
"Find a loophole Attorney, I'm sure there is." Dad said but the Attorney just look at me.
"Tell me the truth Ms. Cuenco, you did not really murder someon--"
"Why would I murder her?!" Inis na tanong ko.
"You should tell me the truth so I can help you--"
"My daughter did not kill anyone Atty. Perez." Mariing saad ni daddy habang hawak ang dibdib, bago pumikit ng mariin.
"Okay. Let's say wala kang pinatay, pero may witness sila!" Natigil ako.
"Witness? I'm sure it's fake. Kailan ba sya namatay?" Tanong ko.
"The night before you went off to Dubai, she was stabbed in the chest, near your school and a schoolmate saw you following her that day."
"Its a frame up." Agad kong saad. "Eveyone knows that Athena and I were not in the good terms, she's a bully in school. Pero hindi ako ganoon kababaw para pumatay."
"They say because Athena was seen with Gadeon Romano sometimes, and you killed her because she's teasing you that your boyfriend, Gadeon Romano only treats as a little sis-"
"What?" Halos sabay na sigaw namin ni daddy. "I'm not that low!"
Frustrated akong umikot sa buong sala ng maliit na bahay.
"If you're proven guilty, you'll have to stay at DHWD's care until and you're 18 and will tranfers into prison for women. And stay there for 20-40 years, that's my hunch lalo na't makapangyarihan ang Mores."

It's like taking my whole life!
"This is unfair, wala akong alam sa nangyayari! For God's sake I'm a minor!Why would they sue me?!" Inis na sigaw ko.
"Calm down sweety." Dad tried to stood up but before he can, he fell. Mabuti nalang ay nahawakan sya ng Attorney.
Mabilis naman syang iniupo sa sofa at pinainom ng tubig.
I cried looking at dad and thinking about our situation.
"I should go, babalik ako bukas ng umaga." Saad ng Attorney ng kumalma na si daddy.
"We should take a rest hija, pagod tayo sa byahe at masyadong maraming nangyari." Dad tried to stand up, I helped him. "Let's go upstairs." He took my mom and walked slowly upstairs. Crying, I held his arm at inalalayan ko sya.
"I'm sorry. I'm giving you too much stress dad." I said. He did not speak but continue walking.
Maybe he's really tired huh?
Nang maihatid ko sya sa kwarto ay dumiretso na rin ako sa kwarto ko. I sat at my bed and look outside.
Napapikit ako ng mariin at nagdesisyon na i-charge ang phone ko na halos isang buwan kong hindi nagamit.
Nang mag open ay sunod-sunod ang tunog na narinig ko.
It was all from Gad, some were from Van but mostly Gad's messages and missed calls.
I opened his latest text that was sent 1 hour ago.
Gad:
I'm infront of your new house, come out. I'm waiting.
