Scared

"You look blooming this past few days Aho." Napangiti ako ng batiin ako ni Aaia.

"Thank you." I said politely and fix my stuffs.

We had victory party for the cheer dancers, we won. Actually our school won most of the games that's why we had a victory party that is approved by the school admins, it's just that Gad and I have different party. We'll meet later for dinner.

"Are you in some kind of a relationship?" Tanong nya. "You're dating Gad?" Medyo lumakas ang tanong nya kaya napansin kong napatingin sa amin ang mga tao sa paligid.

I did not answer.

Are we?

Hindi sinasadyang napabaling ako kay Nadia na palabas na ng hall.

She's avoiding me and I'm fine with that. Actually we are avoiding each other.

"Oh my gosh! Is this for real?!" Napatakip pa sya sa bibig nya. "That ass." Bulong nya sabay baling sa akin. She smiled genuinely. "Well, congrats!" Ngumiti nalang ako ay sinuot na ang shoulder bag.

"I should go, we'll have dinner pa e." Saad ko lang. Mas lalong lumaki ang ngiti nya.

Nagpaalam ako, she talk to her cousin na kararating lang, Natt Laurence, grade 8 Ms. Intramurals? That kid is like one of those famous campus crush.

Napangisi nalang ulit ako ng bumalik ang pagiisip ko kay Gad, well if she think that Gad and I were dating. Hindi ko na kasalanan iyon. I never said we are but did not say we aren't either.

Mutual feelings?

I dont know. I m new to this kind of relationship.

If I say we have mutuals feelings, parang sinabi ko na rin na gusto ko sya. Which is I think I really do.

God! I fell for Gad!

My mind drifted away when I saw Nadia and Athena walking away at the corridor together.

Are they friends?

I curiously followed them. Gad texted me and I viewed it while following the two. They aren't close, not even talking. Kaya nagtataka ako kung bakit sabay silang naglalakad paalis.

Gad:

"Are you done?"

He replied after a second, nakakadalawang hakbang palang ako. After a unread text he texted again.

Gad:

Yes.

Gad:

Are you?

Napangiti ako, not sweet at all but worth my smile.

"I left early. I'm excited for dinner."

May ngiti sa labi habang nagtitipa. Gosh did not expect to fall for Gad this easily. Am I?

My question to myself did not stop me from following Athena and Nadia. We went out of school, kumunot ang noo ko. Napadaan kami sa gate nakita ko pa ang isa kaklase ko ay nagbatian kami, kumunot ang noo ko nang akala ko'y hindi ko na sila makikita.

"You're following Athena? Galit ka talaga sa kanya ano? Pakialamera e." Sinabayan pala ako maglakad ng babae kong kaklase na akala ko'y nagpaalam na ako kanina ng madaanan.

"H-hindi naman." Sagot ko.

"Well, I should go. Ingat Aho!" Ngumiti ako sa kanya at tinuloy ang pagsunod sa dalawa.

Why are they still together?

Baka mapano si Nadia. Nasaan ba si Van?

Nang napalayo na kami sa school ay tumigil narin ako sa pagsunod sa kanila, nagdidilim na rin and I'm scared.

My phone beep, expecting it was from Gad I open it as fast as I can with huge smile on my face.

But it faded when I saw the message and the sender.

"Go home quick and pack your things, flight here as soon as possible."

I felt scared for a moment.

It was from dad, kinabahan na ako agad kaya dinial ko ang numero. Ilang ring bago nasagot ang tawag.

"D-dad!" Nanginginig ang boses ko. Why would he ask me to flight out of the country when they aren't in vacation and in a business trip?

And I have school!

"Flight here as soon as possible, there's an emergency!" My dad's voice were also shaking.

Isang tao lang ang pumasok sa isip ko.

"Where's mom?" Tanong kom

"Just come here Ahonoama!" Sigaw ni daddy tsaka namatay ang tawag.

"Hello?!" Nang hindi na sumagot ang kabilang linya ay nagapura na ako paalis, I called our driver and went home. Waiting for my dad's text I kept checking my phone but none, it was only a text from Gad.

I did not open it. My mom is in danger, I can feel it, something bad is going to happen.

Napapikit ako ng mariin ng marinig na aalis na ang eroplano papuntang Dubai kung nasaan sila mommy ngayon.

I need to go there as soon as possible.
