Normal

I wore a summer dress and went with them to a falls. I smiled as I feel the cold breeze, summer is coming.

Auntie Annitha and mama with a housemade were prepairing a meal while Bianca is busy with her two friends she brought with us.

"You wont take a bath?" I was busy with my feet under water when Jaerik disturb me, he's with his khaki shorts and hand on the both of pockets.

"I wont." I answered him.

"You're still waiting for your dad's call?" He squat besides me.

"He'll call." I answered again as fast as I can.

"What if he won't?" I look at him with murdering look. "You know mahihirapan ang daddy mo, lalo na kung nakabantay sa kanya ang mga police."

"He'll call, he promis--" I was cut off guard when my phone ring for the first time, excitement filled my eyes as I look at Jaerik. He just raise his brows and stood up to leave me.

I answered my dad's call.

"Daddy!"

A long deep breathe before answering me.

"How'd you know its me?" He asked.

"You're the only one who knows my number and I've been waiting for your call!" I paused when a water splash on me, Bianca's friend apologize, I just smiled. "Are you going here to pick me up? Evething is fine now?" I asked.

"Ahonoama." My dad's low voice made me feel something is not going as my plan.

"I-i can't come back a-anymore, right?" I stood up and walk away to the falls. "I-i can't?"

I heard dad's sobs that made me weak, a tears fell from my eyes.

"I-it's fine dad, I-i'm fine here, k-kung gusto mo d-dito na ako t-titira. Just s-stay here with me." I said still walking following the paths without grass.

"N-no A-aho, j-just continue living there for a while. If you need to study ask your grandma, she'll help." I nod. "I'll go there soon, promise--" someone spoke on dad's line. "I gotta go!" He said then end the call.

"Gosh! This is frustrating!" I shouted and continue walking, I can hear a ocean wave and smell the ocean.

Pinunasan ko ang luha ko ng bumungad sa akin ang araw, mabuhangin at maingay na hampas ng tubig dagat.

This is really a vacation place huh?

I sat on a old log, neverminding the heat of the sun.

"Everything will be fine, everything will."

"It will be fine Ahonoama." I look quickly as I hear a voice, my heart beat. But again, false alarm. It's just Jaerik again.

"What are you doing here? Were you following me?" Tanong ko. He laugh.

"I followed you because you might commit suicide at this moment." I rolled my eyes.

"Im not that dumb." I said.

"Just hang in there Ahonoama, everything will be back to normal."

I just look at Jaerik, those words got stuck in my head up until to this day. After so many years, everything isn't still back to to normal.

A almost decade of hiding and things aren't back to normal yet.

I just rolled my eyes and look at my happy customers.

"You should get yourself a wife, hindi yung ako ang ginugulo mo dito." I said to Jaerik.

"I'm not disturbing you. I'm a customer here." I rolled my eyes.

"Whatever."
