Chapter 15

Dahyun's POV

Today is Saturday

Finally, it is Jeongyeon-unnie's birthday

We're here in Nayeon-unnie's big house

We decided to have a sleepover which Chaeyoung dragged me into this

We helped Nayeon-unnie's plan to decorate her living room for a simple Jeongyeon-unnie's birthday surprise

I shook my head in amusement, Nayeon-unnie is obviously whipped for Jeongyeon-unnie

I scanned the whole house

It's big enough for Nayeon-unnie tho

There's a big chandelier in the middle of the living room, expensive paintings on the wall, modern furniture, and Sana...

I immediately stopped when my eyes landed on Sana who is busy pumping some air on the balloons

I smiled as I saw her pouting as she seriously concentrates on the air pump

"Loving the view?" I nearly jumped in surprise when I hear a whisper behind my ear

Nayeon-unnie smirked as she's satisfied by my reaction

"You scared me" I mumbled as I felt like I caught stealing something from a supermarket

"I didn't mean to scare you, kiddo. It's just that you're too preoccupied that you didn't notice your surroundings" her smirk became wide as she bobbed her eyebrows up and down

" w-what do you mean?"I asked nervously as I felt my eyebrows sweating

"Oh please, you know what I mean, Dubu" she pokes my nose and grins as she looked in Sana's direction that makes me look too

"Don't you want to make a move?" Nayeon-unnie said as is raised her eyebrows teasingly

I looked at her confusedly

"What do you mean?" I asked confusedly

Nayeon-unnie laughed

"From decorating, Dubu," she said as she pinched my cheek and continued decorating

I just furrowed my eyebrows in confusion

"You should be used by her playfulness by now," Jihyo-unnie said as she approached me holding a birthday hat

"I think so too," I said as I chuckled

"Wait, why are we having a birthday hat? What are we, five?" I asked playfully

Jihyo-unnie chuckled

"Obviously, it's for teasing jeongyeon, as what Nayeon said" Jihyo-unnie rolled her eyes

"She likes Jeongyeon-unnie," I said shaking my head

"Since day 1, oh well, I'll just ask Tzuyu to put those big letters on the wall," Jihyo-unnie said pointing the carved letters on the table

I can't help but smile as I looked at Jihyo-unnie

"Why Tzuyu?" I asked raising my eyebrows

She froze for a mere second and she looked at me with wide eyes

"B-because she's tall" she said trying to defend herself

I just nod teasingly

"Uhuh? There's Sana and--"

"Tzuyu's taller than all of us" she said and smacked my arm

"Ouch! I'm just kidding" I said and raised my hands as a surrender

She only sticks out her tongue and left me

I only chuckled

My eyes darted back to Sana's direction who is surprisingly...

Already looking at me

She flashes a smile that makes me do the same too

She just chuckled and continued her doings

I shook my head

I should finish decorating now

Sana's POV

The birthday surprise for Jeongyeon was successful though we received a whining and complaint about Nayeon's phone at first as she called Jeongyeon and asked her if she could help her clean her house which is a lame excuse, by the way, nonetheless, Jeongyeon accepted it

And we don't know how Nayeon can easily make Jeongyeon obey her, mean, we always see them bickering and annoying each other tho

We are currently celebrating at Nayeon's house

Loud music is visibly echoing everywhere in this house

They are all in the living room

I'm in the kitchen as I tried to take some snacks to put on the table

"What took you so long?" I jumped in surprise by a sudden voice

I turned around and saw Dahyun smiling apologetically

"Sorry? I didn't know you're a scaredy-cat" she said as she took a cup of beer

I didn't even know she drinks alcoholic drinks

" I'm just struggling what snack should I bring"I said as I looked back at the snacks in the cabinet

"It's not important, just get anything and let's go back," she said as she sipped on her cup as watch me taking some snacks

"Let me help you," she said as she is about to take the snacks

Our fingers touched which leaves soft traces on each other as Dahyun took the snacks

I looked at her but there's no sign or reaction

She only looked at me confusedly

I just fake a cough

"Let's go," I said as I avoided her gaze at me

I inhaled deeply as I followed her from behind

Maybe it's because I'm tipsy now

We went to the living room hearing their chitchats though I can see Nayeon smacked Jeongyeon's arm who only laughed

As Nayeon noticed us, she playfully grins

"What you guys took so long?" Nayeon smiled innocently revealing her bunny teeth

I just rolled my eyes

"I went..to the comfort room," Dahyun said as she placed the snacks on the table and I followed on a suit

"Okay, Girls!, We're just starting the party!" Nayeon shouts as if there are a bunch of people here which is it is just the nine of us

"We'll play Never I have ever!" Jeongyeon said as she grinned
