Chapter 26

Mina's POV

I am sitting here on the bench near the JYPU's Garden

I inhaled deeply as I breathed the fresh air

I shut my eyes for a second to savor the moment until I felt a shadow blocked me from the sunlight in front of me

I slowly opened my eyes and saw an Angel smiling at me

"Hey" Chaeyoung greeted me with a smile

A smile flashed on my face and nod at her

She sat beside me comfortably

"You're alone," Chaeyoung said it as a fact more than a question

I nodded again

She looked at me

"You look like something is bothering you," She said as she looked at my features.

I smiled again

"There is" I finally looked at her, meeting her mesmerizing eyes

And here she is again, looking at me with concern, as what she always does...

She makes things hard for me but doesn't need to know that

"Care to share?" She wiggled her eyebrows in a playful way

I chuckled

"My father is back," I said as I sighed

Her eyebrows furrowed slightly

"Is it a bad thing?" She curiously asked

I averted my gaze at her

"I don't know....maybe?" I said with a hesitant voice

Chaeyoung just nod in understanding

She suddenly took her earphones and phone

I looked at her in confusion

She suddenly plugged the other earphone in my right ear, like the usual things we do

She grinned at me

"Let's forget the problems for a while," she said as she starts to play a music

I smiled at her action

She's right...

I should forget the problems for a while, at least for now...

Sana's POV

I walked in the hallway with shuffled thoughts

Something is bothering me.

I mean, Three guys in a black suit took Dahyun away from JYPU with a creepy aura, and now Dahyun didn't attend her classes

I didn't also see her walking around here in JYPU

What if there's something bad happened to her?

I shook my head

No, Chaeyoung said that Dahyun will be fine

And Dahyun assured me not to worry

Jeez, I'm overthinking again

Why am I even thinking about her?

Do I like....her?

"Gosh, Sana. Stop" I scold myself

Then someone bumped at me

I was about to apologize but when I looked up

I see those familiar sharp mono lidded eyes looking at me

She noticed me being surprised by her sudden presence

She chuckled

"Are you thinking about chemistry?" Dahyun raised her eyebrows playfully

I was actually thinking about you...

"If you are, I'm sorry, Sana," she said with an apologetic smile

"Huh?" I said absentmindedly

"I mean, we're chemistry partners, right?" She said still raising her eyebrows

I mentally slapped myself

Right, I forgot that again

I looked at her from head to toe

"You didn't attend your classes?" I furrowed my eyebrows

"And where were you yesterday?" I asked in both confusion and curiosity

She raised her eyebrows more as if she find me amusing

"I'm okay, Mom. I just did some things" she chuckled

I just rolled my eyes playfully

We started to walk towards the JYPU's Gate

"I thought you were kidnapped by men in black," I said jokingly

She suppresses a hearty giggle.

I smiled in victory for making her laugh

"Actually, one of them is my brother," She said as she placed her hands on her pockets

"The one with sunglasses on? No wonder why he's so intimidating" I said in surprise

Dahyun looked at me as if I just said something funny

"You think he's intimidating?" She chuckled in amusement

I nodded

"I mean, the way he talked to you? It's so deep and commanding. He looks very powerful and manly" I said as I pursed my lips

"He's far from that" Dahyun shook her head

I just chuckled

"Wait, why are you here tho? I mean, the classes already 

ended. Aren't you too late for that?" I asked curiously

We finally reached the outside of JYPU

She stopped and looked at me for a brief second

"I'm taking you home," she said in an obvious tone

"Why?" I asked innocently

"Because you're not safe walking alone?" She said it more on like a question

I raised my eyebrows at her

I chuckled in amusement

"Is that really the reason, Dahyun-ssi?" I asked curiously

She stared at me for a second wearing an unreadable 

expression

She sighed

"I...I don't know" she shrugged her shoulders as if she's frustrated

I just smiled at her answer

"Now I'm thinking that maybe you're some kidnapper waiting to catch her prey" I joked as we continued to walk

She just smiled

I looked at her again who is currently looking straight through the sidewalk

Maybe...

Maybe I'm starting to like you, Kim Dahyun

And I don't know what to do about these feelings...
