Dahyun's POV

"See you tomorrow?" Sana shyly smiled as she swayed her hands.

We are already outside her apartment after the long night we had. And I could say that I suddenly felt relieved as if something heavy on me has just been removed.

I smiled at her, taking a step to get closer. Now, I don't even hesitate. Not at all.

"See you tomorrow, Sana-chan" I quietly said making her chuckle. I inhaled deeply before having the courage to hug her, which made her a little surprised but reciprocated.

"Thank you" She mumbled at my hair that made me hugged her tightly.

"No. Thank you, Sana-chan" I spoke before I let go of the hug. " You need to take a rest. It's already late" I checked my wristwatch and to find that it is already ten in the evening

She waved her hand and sighed. I nodded at her with a hesitant smile. I suddenly felt like staying beside her but I know I can't. At least not right now.

I stole one last glance at her before walking away from her but then she called my name

"Wait!" She walked towards me with hurried steps, I watch her with confusion. Her fist clenched and lips pressed together as if controlling something. She stopped just in front of me.

So close that I could smell her minty breath

"Tell me you won't avoid me anymore" She suddenly said with a shaky breath. Here eyes we worried and unsure. I could say she still has doubts, so I took her hands and lightly squeezed. I stared at her eyes firmly.

"I won't avoid you anymore. I promise. I won't" I spoke with such certainty and assurance, making her sigh in relief and flash another smile

"Okay" She nodded biting her lip. I can't help but chuckle at her cute antics. She's so adorable

But then she closed our gap, leaning her face closer to mine as she planted a soft kiss on my lips. It only took seconds then she let go with a satisfied look

"Goodnight, Dahyunie" She softly spoke, letting go of my hands, and starts to walk away with a playful grin.

I stood dumbfounded. Slightly surprised. She took another glance, her grin widened as she waved at me goodbye

I chuckled and shake my head with amusement. "Such a tease" I whispered under my breath

Jeongyeon's POV

I knocked twice at the door before it opened. Revealing Dahyun. She wasn't smiling but I could see her eyes were very expressive

"Come in" She spoke, making a big space for me to enter. I looked around her house. Nothing changed

"It's been a long time since I've been here" I sighed and sat on the nearest couch of her living room. She sat across me, but then my attention was caught by the brown envelope above the table.

"Jeongyeon-unnie" My eyes immediately landed on her. She has a firm gaze now that I can't quite read, but I know it is something serious. She took the brown envelope and handed it to me.

I looked at her with confusion but took it. I opened the envelope, revealing a white bond paper with printed words. As I read it, my eyes slowly widened and widened in surprise. I froze

"Is it true?" She spoke, quite unreadable. My jaw clenched and so as my grip on the paper. I looked up to her, just to meet her eyes full of betrayal

"D-Dahyun..." I suddenly fell out of words. She chuckled with disbelief. "It wasn't like--" but she cut me off

"Why didn't you tell me sooner? What? You're waiting for my father to tell me that?" She spoke offended. I looked down and sighed.

"I just...I don't want you to feel like we've been with you just for work" I explained in a shaky voice

"But why? Why would you work with someone that I hated the most? My father? Really?" She scoffed at me. I placed the paper on the table

"It wasn't my choice. I just need to repay your father for helping my father, Dahyun" I calmly explained. I do hope she understands. I know it hurts her for me and Jackson not telling her that we work for her father. She sighed and stared at me for a second.

"I trusted you" She quietly said. "I trusted all of you, and I can't believe that you're working with him behind my back," She said in a shaky voice. I felt the guilt running through me. I know it hurts her. We all know how she hates her father so much.

"You can still trust me. Dahyun" I firmly said to her. "I'm not here just because of work. I'm here as your friend. So as Jackson" I spoke with certainty and sincerity. She looked up, staring at me for a second. She slumped her back on the couch and sighed

"I hate you" She mumbled. A smile immediately flashed on my face as the atmosphere became lighter again

"No, you don't" I confidently said making her look at me with disgust.

"Still, you're annoying as fuck. I can't believe Nayeon-unnie likes to stay with someone like you" She playfully said, but then it makes me remember it all. My smile dropped, and Dahyun noticed that

"What? Did she finally dumped you?" She playfully said tho I could see her eyebrows furrowed. I chuckled and looked down my feet

"I'm afraid you're right" I sighed. Suddenly feeling something heavy on my chest. Her face frowned

"Why? Is it something serious?" She suddenly went serious, looking at me with a frown

I pointed the paper above the table, making her eyes widened slightly.

"She knows?" Her mouth agape. "But how?" She was worried, not just because Nayeon knows a part of the mess we're into but also because I don't really want Nayeon to know what I am until I say it to her my own

"When you called at me about the incident. She did a surprise visit to my house. Heard it all" I quietly said, feeling a weird thing on my stomach and a pang on my chest. Dahyun frowned more

"I'm sorry" She apologetically looked at me. I shook my head as I tried to give her a small smile

"None's your fault. It was my fault. I should've told her back then, I had a lot of chances but I avoided it because I was afraid of the consequences" I chuckled with regret

"What are you going to do now, unnie? Maybe, I could help and explain it to he--" I cut her off

"Silly. It's fine. I will win her back. I know she was just surprised and maybe afraid that I'm on something very dangerous. I do understand her" I said with a low voice.

I know Nayeon. I may look not interested at her before but I was. And still am. We've known each other for years now. I know her a lot. But I didn't give her the chance to know me well. Now I need to go back zero and win her again.

"I'm glad to know that" She patted my shoulder with an encouraging smile

"Thank you, Dahyun. For everything" I sincerely said making her smile at me but then rolled her eyes

"Gross" She made face and stood up. "Coffee?" She offered

"Yes please"I shouted since she's getting far away. "But we do look like a married couple that's going to divorce an awhile ago tho!" I playfully said

"Gross!" She shouted back, making me laugh
