Subzero Short Stories: Egg

Universe: TRF
Takes place: after TRF

Carol: "Hey look, an egg!" * picks up egg* "It looks kind of cute."
Egg: *beginning to hatch*
Carol: "Uhh... I should hide this from Holly."
Egg: *hatches and reveals a purple baby "square person"*
Carol: "Oh hi! You're so cute. I'll name you Sam."
Holly: "Carol!"
Carol: "Gotta hide you before Holly sees." *hides Sam in a bush*
Holly: "Carol, what are you doing?"
Carol: "Just walking around."
Holly: "Okay then." *walks away.*  "Oh, and by the way, we're going to go kayaking soon."
Carol: *as soon as Holly walks away, she grabs the egg* "We're safe now, Sam."
Sam: *is confused*
Carol: "Come on, let's go home."

at home

Carol: "This will be your home for now." *puts Sam with her eggshell on a table*
Sam: *attempts to climb out of egg*
Carol: "I don't really know what to do with-"
Holly (outside door): "FBI OPEN UP!"

TAKE 2

Carol: "This will be your home for now." *puts Sam with her eggshell on a table*
Sam: *attempts to climb out of egg*
Carol: "I don't really know what to do with you..."
Sam: *successfully climbs out of egg but the eggshell falls on her. She cries.*
Carol: "Uh..." *grabs Sam and the eggshell and runs to room*

room

Carol: "Oh, I didn't know he kept this. It's my tiny rabbit doll."
Sam: *reaching for the very tiny doll*
Carol: "Here, you can have it."
Sam: *hugging the doll*
Carol: "Aww, this is cute."
The doorknob turns
Carol: *pushes Sam's eggshell under the bed*
Holly: "Carol, ready to go kayaking?"
Carol: "Actually, I don't think I want to."
Holly: "Aww. Why not?"
Carol: "I just don't want to. We can go tomorrow."
Holly: "Alright. I'll tell him you're not going." *closes door and leaves room*
Carol: "We're safe again, Sam."
Sam: "Shafe."
Carol: "I forgot that they learn fast. Well, at least she said her first word."
Door: *shakes*
Carol: *kinda jumps from the door* "Okay, it's nothing."
Sam: "Shafe."
Carol: "Sam, please be quiet."
Holly: *opens door* "What's going on?" *gasps* "Aww!"
Carol: "..."
Sam: "Safe."
Holly: "Where did she come from?" *kneels down by Sam*
Carol: "I just randomly found her egg somewhere, and it hatched."
Holly: "She's so cute! But where's her mom?"
Carol (whisper): "Where's our mom?"
Carol: "I don't know."
Holly: "Well, her mom is probably missing her by now. What did you name her?"
Carol: "For now, we'll call her Sam."
Sam: "Sam."
Carol: "They learn too fast."
Holly: "We did too, though. Let's go to the nearest town."

at the nearest town

Holly: "Carol?"
Carol: *is starting at water fountain* "Yes?"
Holly: "Come on! I saw something on the billboard."
Carol: *still looking at the fountain* "Sorry, I thought I saw a ghost. I'll go." *stands up from bench*
Holly: *leads her and carries Sam to the billboard* "It says that there's a missing egg, and we can return it! But there's one problem."
Carol: "Who do we return it to?"
Holly: "That's the problem."
Carol: "What do we do now?"
Random person: *puts up same poster*
Carol: "Wait, I think I know who to return it to!" *grabs Holly's leg and walks over to the person*
Holly: "Careful! I have a baby in an eggshell!"
Carol: "Ma'm, are you missing an egg?"
Person: "Yes. Did you find it?"
Carol: "We did! And she hatched! Holly, give her the egg."
Holly: *stands up and hands her the egg.*
Person: "I was looking for her everywhere! Thank you both very much."
Carol: "You're welcome," (whispering) "weirdly familiar person."
Carol and Holly: *walks away*
Person: "Alright. Now that that's settled with, you can go to your dad. I'll lead you to him. After that, it's ghost time again."

(I don't know why I thought of this, but this is the best time for "revenge" because of Carol grabbing Holly this time.
