Flashback
"Get up now! Come on, your too weak!" Shouted your father. Your body jolted with even more energy than before, making you get up once more.
"From the beginning, let's go!" he continues throwing kunai at you with no hesitation.
Left.
Right.
Left.
Right.
Right.
Right.
Left.
Your body moved gracefully. He knew exactly what you were, but he would never confess. He would protect you even if it meant to act as if he hates you.
Suddenly you felt a stinging sensation on your right shoulder. Your father landed a hit, and his stomach dropped, as blood flowed down your right arm. You groaned in pain, but yet again another kunai was coming straight for you, and somehow you jumped backward getting out of the way.
Again.
Left.
Left.
Right.
Left.
Right.
He threw them so fast you could only see black orbs, but you still managed to get away from them. You worked hard doing whatever you could to make your father proud.
"Alright, that's enough, " he said, causing you to collapse onto the ground. Tears were streaming down your face as you gripped your fresh wound.
Your father's footsteps grew closer. He then placed his hand on your cheek.
"Tears do nothing but get in your way, " he said, which made you wipe them from your eyes.
"Sorry, father, " you apologized now ashamed for allowing yourself to show weakness.
"You need to stop looking at me when I'm throwing these kunai. Focus on the kunai only and where they are heading," he instructed while examining your wound, which was healing slowly by itself. A sizzling sound played while the pain slowly faded.
That's the power you held inside. A force never before seen in a Uchiha so young.
"Let your body move, and your mind will follow right after, " he continued a hint of kindness in his voice.
"Yes, father," you spoke, looking at your now blood-stained shorts.
"Ok, then let's do this again, " he said going back to his original position, which made you get up and start again. That small break allowed your chakra to regenerate at a fast pace.
You remember that day, so clearly, it was the only time your father showed you a small bit of kindness.

The orange tint sky had changed to a purplish-blue hue. Stars twinkled, and the clouds were hardly visible at this point, but you were still sound asleep dreaming of the pleasant times you spent with your father. Though to a regular kid, it wouldn't be considered pleasant; it was to you.
The cool breeze flowed through the air sending chills throughout your body. The crickets chirped, and the birds no longer sang their tune, but you still slept there with no problem—one of your many skills falling asleep just about anywhere.
From within your sleep, you were able to feel a presence. So you open one eye slightly, and silhouette was lying down a little further to your right. You open the other eye to examine the person not to far from you.
You realized it was the brown-eyed boy you saw early today. You slowly stood up, trying to make no noise. You didn't feel like having a confrontation with a boy who held your hand for a little to long.
"You know it was a drag when Choji made go look for you," he spoke, and you jumped a bit spooked from him speaking out of nowhere.
"But, I guess it was worth it since you were at my favorite spot, " he said, turning his gaze back at you.
"I always come up here after the academy, or when Choji makes me do something I don't really feel up too, " the boy chuckles, giving you a small smile. For some bizarre reason, your cheeks flushed to a slight red color, but at this point, it was too dark for him to notice.
"You sure are quite... not like the rest of these girls, " he continues to speak, and you see his silhouette stand up.
"So? why does that matter, " you muttered, shoving your hands into your pockets once more.
"Oh, so you're also mean?"he sighed, walking closer to you, as the moonlight began to glow on both of you.
"Whatever." You retorted, turning around in order to make your way down the hill.
"Hey, wait a minute. I'm not done talking, " he groaned, which led him to jog up to you.
"You're making this a real drag, let me finish," he sighed, which made you and him stop at the same time.
"Choji, our friends, and I guess myself...want to know if you'd like to have dinner with us tomorrow afternoon," he asked his cheeks turned pink, but it wasn't visible to you. His heart also raced a little, and he looked away afraid of making eye contact with the eyes he couldn't forget.
"I don't even know your name, and you're inviting me to dinner," you responded, your voice flows through his ears. So gentle, he thought; your words at this point made his heart flutter.
"I-it's Shikamaru, Shikamaru Nara," the brown-eyed boy stuttered, looking at the ground. His feelings bubbled irrationally; he's never felt such emotions before.
"I'll think about it," you told him, but you really weren't going to. Why bother getting to know people who will only get in your way. You don't need people to cloud your emotions and way of thinking.
"Don't think about it; just go... if you'd like, you can also bring Sasuke, " the Nara spoke, finally looking at you. Your (h/l) (h/c) hair flowed freely through the wind. The moonlight made your eyes sparkle, wow...she's beautiful, he thought. His young mind raced, thinking things he couldn't comprehend. This frustrated him, yes he was lazy, but he had a mind of a genius. So not being able to understand what he was feeling truly bothered him.
{(h/l)= hair length, (h/c)= hair color}
"I won't bring him if I go," you sighed your heart longed for friendship, but your mind wouldn't stand for it.
"Well it doesn't matter, we'd just like to see you there, " he replied and began to walk closer to you.
"Would you like me to walk you home," he asked his cheeks, flushed a pink color once more. This lazy Nara wouldn't feel comfortable knowing you were walking Konoha alone during the night.
"I'm fine, " you said and vanished right before him.
"Damn, girls can be so troublesome, " he mumbled and placed his hands in his pockets. The Nara boy walked away and wondered if you would show up.
"Ahhh, I forgot to tell her where!" he groaned while smacking his forehead.
