"You haven't seen her?!" Midori's eyes widen in surprise.

"No, I thought she might have gotten caught up with something here so I dropped by to check up on her, it's not like [y/n] to forget our cloud watching dates," Shikamaru blushed at the end.

"Shikamaru I thought she's been with you since last night!" Midori now began to worry [y/n] would never leave without saying anything to her.

"What she hasn't been home at all?" Shikamaru now was a bit worried.

"Maybe she's with Naruto I'll go check with him,"

"I'll look at all the training grounds, maybe she exerted herself too much and fell asleep!" Midori began to reach for her shoes by the door.

"Ok meet up back here when we find her," Shikamaru suggested and took off quickly to Naruto's home.

"So no one has seen her since yesterday?!" Shikamaru was losing his composure at this point. Naruto, Yamato, Kakashi, and Midori all sat in the kitchen of the Kato residency.

"I had lunch with her and she mentioned training, but nothing else," Kakashi gave the information that he had about the missing Uchiha.

"I checked all the training grounds and I didn't see anything weird," Midori added her information as well.

"Even the abandoned Uchiha ones?" Shikamaru asked since he was the only one who knew that [y/n] would spend time training there.

"N-No!" Midori responded.

"Well then let's go," Shikamaru quickly exited the home and raced with the rest of the group. His heart was thumping to the point where he could hear his pulse in his ears. The closer they got the more his stomach twisted. They looked at each Uchiha training spot until they came across one that showed a sign of struggle.

"It's wood release she was here," Yamato was shocked just like everyone else's was.

"This belongs to her," Shikamaru found her green teardrop necklace that had fallen onto the ground. As much as he hated the necklace it proved that she was here and something horrible has happened.

"We have Sasuke's recovery mission tomorrow..." Naruto spoke while looking at the necklace in his hand.

"Team 7 should still go, we can't stop that from happening because [y/n] would blame herself, even more, Yamato Sensei will go in Kakashi's place, Kakashi will stay here and help me look for [y/n],"

"Since when do you give orders around here," Yamato spoke giving the Nara a dirty look.

"Yamato he has a point, take team 7 with you and recover Sasuke—" Kakashi began to speak but was caught off.

"B-but it's [y/n]! I-I should be looking for her!" Yamato shouted with frustration.

"You're emotions well just get in the way Yamato," Shikamaru spoke coldly which led Yamato to lunge at him and grab him by the collar.

"What about y-you huh? [y/n] is your girlfriend isn't she why are you acting so calm!?" Yamato gritted through his teeth but Shikamaru just stared at him no expression painted his face.

"Yamato that's enough!" Kakashi pulled him off the Nara.

"Shikamaru was able to get revenge on the Akatsuki who murder his Sensei days after his death, he is one of the smartest young men I have ever met! I trust him so you should trust him too!" Kakashi was trying to knock the sense back into his comrade.
