"That's the general plan. Our teams of 4 will work together to take down the Akatsuki. Each team will focus on a member of the Akatsuki and fight their separate battles," Shikamaru explained he paused to allow [y/n] who stood proud beside her significant other.

"Once your assigned Akatsuki member is executed, you'll return to the home base where Lady Tsunade is in charge of healing anyone that as wounded. As of now, Naruto is training, and Master Jiraiya has apparently been assigned on a solo mission to investigate the Akatsuki hideout," [y/n] continued to explain. At the same time, Shikamaru crossed his arms and shook his head in agreement.

"Our next focus for the next couple of weeks is to prepare our shinobi's for the fight we will soon be having in the next few of months," [y/n] and Shikamaru stood in front of all the leaders to each clan, Lady Tsunade alongside Kakashi stood with them as well.

"The core groups will have the ability to request back up from the reserved Shinobis at home base. I shall name the following core groups and the Akatsuki members they will be assigned to execute.
Naruto, Sakura, Sai, and I have The Pains.
The Ino-Shika-Cho trio will deal with Kisame.
Neji, Rocklee, Tenten, and Gai will have Diedra.
Hinata, Kiba, and Shino will have Konan. The Kazekage and his siblings will take responsibility for Sasori. And lastly, [y/n] and Sasuke will have Itachi. Each group will have their backup if necessary, but we want everyone who has finished their battles to return to home base, get patched up, and lend aid to any groups who are still fighting." Kakashi finished the lengthy meeting. He gave the last orders because many of the older shinobi did not feel comfortable being told what to do by the younger generation.

"If there any questions and or concerns, please let them out now," Lady Tsunade's voice flooded the tense room.

Shikaku awkwardly coughed as he slowly stood up, "Is it wise to let our younger jounins be the 'core groups,'" this was the father intuition in him speaking, his eyes darted to his son.

Kakashi nodded his head in an understanding manner.

"Yes, I believe they are ready for this task; they have the most experience with the Akatsuki. Also, let's not forget that the Ino-Shika-Cho trio alongside a few others have executed two members of the Akatsuki already," Kakashi answered respectfully.

"I see... Well then, as the head of the Nara clan, I agree to the plan," he smiled proudly, slowly sitting himself down once more.

"Anything else?" Lady Tsunade reviewed the room.  A few murmurs echoed the place, but eventually, everyone nodded in agreement.

"Well then the meeting is adjourned," the fifth Hokage smiled, which allowed everyone to slowly vacant the room. Once the room was entirely empty, Tsunade placed her hand on [y/n]'s shoulder.

"Well done, to the both of you," she smiled sweetly.

"I'm very impressed with the way you guys held yourself," Kakashi continued, as he gave the couple a thumbs up.

"Thank you," they said in union, Shikamaru's expression was as tired as always while [y/n] had a cheerful grin.

"A true power couple, I wouldn't mind seeing the both of you running Konoha together," Tsunade continued, which caused the pair to let out a laugh.

"The only person that will be Hokage in the future," Shikamaru began to speak.

"Is Naruto Uzumaki," [y/n] and Shikamaru chuckled together.

"Barbecue! Barbecue! Barbecue!" [y/n] chanted as she walked alongside her favorite pineapple haired boy.

"You eat way too much meat, let's have some Sushi or Ramen," Shikamaru sighed as they walked passed [y/n]'s favorite barbecue restaurant. [y/n] then crossed her arms and pouted childishly.

"I only eat ramen when Naruto is here," she grumbled, causing Shikamaru to laugh lightly.

"Sushi it is then," he rubbed her head gently.

"Fine," she sighed in defeat, the two were extremely hungry after the meeting and decided to go on a dinner date.

"I missed this," he smiled sweetly, which caused [y/n] eyes to widen in shock, she's hardly seen this soft side of her lover.

"It has been a while since we've gone on an actual date," [y/n] locked arms with him, a light tint of pink filling her cheeks.

"When this is all over, I promise to take you out more okay?"

"Shikamaru, I don't care if you take me out or not! I just want to spend time with you,"

"Now you're being the cheesy one," he smiled again while placing a light kiss on her cheek.
