"Sakura is a must if we don't take her she'll hate me for then she already does," [y/n] sat with Kakashi while making a plan to retrieve Sasuke. They were at [y/n]'s favorite barbecue spot enjoying a nice lunch together as student and teacher.
"Hate you?" Kakashi questioned while placed his food on the grill.
"I feel resentment from her every time I'm near her, I don't blame her though she was attached to Sasuke and I must remind her of him all the time," [y/n] spoke nonchalantly while watching the flames dance freely under the meat it was grilling.
"Sai will be a good asset, being able to use his super beast scrolls will help us a ton. Naruto well... he's Naruto so he'll be coming too, also Yamato Sensei is a must if Naruto breaks loose I don't think my Sharingan could help and I haven't practiced the chakra suppression jutsu," The Uchiha was strategizing just as quick as Kakashi.
([a/n]: finally fixed it 🙈)
"You're not taking Shikamaru?" Kakashi rose his visible eyebrow.
"I think it's best he stays," she placed a piece of beef in her mouth.
"And why is that?"
"I...I don't know...It's just a gut feeling," she said after eating her food.
"His shadow paralysis jutsu will work well," she placed her chopsticks on her lips.
"But Sasuke knows about his ability, and this fight will not only be about brains but also speed and Shikamaru still lacks that speed," she then pointed to herself with a smirk on her face.
"I have speed and brains, and with the rest of the crew we should be good,"
"So Sakura, Sia, Naruto, Yamato, myself and well, of course, you," Kakashi spoke as the two go closer to the end of their planning.
"Yes sir!" she smiled contently with the team they came up with.
"And it's simple we have enough firepower to bring him back by force if we have too, we get to the lair pinpoint where he's at, distract Orochimaru and his ghouls if they get in the way, and they will." [y/n] really thought they had a chance getting him back, but Kakashi knew Sasuke won't have a change of heart until he does what's he's been wanting to do since the massacre.
"Our goal is to get Sasuke back and we'll go from there," Kakashi quickly ate his food as [y/n] blinked. It was shocking how he managed to master eating at an extreme pace.
"That's hardly a plan Kakashi Sensei!" [y/n] chuckled as she shook her head in disapproval.
"You can plan as much as you want, but everything changes when you're on the mission. We can make a plan to guide our decisions during the situation, but you always have to have the worst possible outcome in mind," he paused and looked at [y/n], his eye showed how serious he truly was.
"Because most of the time the plan never goes accordingly, it takes a turn when you least expect. So learn to adapt to your surroundings because a plan can only take you so far," his words came from experience and [y/n] could tell by his voice changing to a deeper, more serious tone.
"Understood," she nodded gently.

After lunch, the Uchiha decided to train. As much as she wanted to see Shikamaru she needed to prepare for the future mission. She quickly traveled to an empty training ground near the Uchiha abandoned compound. She would use the targets that were left by the Uchiha's before her. Each at various locations and elevations around the training grounds.
She spent hours hitting the targets over and over again. Each time more accurate than last, as she trained she sensed a strange chakra near her.
"Are you going to watch or come out?" she sighed while collecting her equipment.
"Very impressive Uchiha [y/n]," an old man came from the shadows of the training grounds. He was rugged, covered in bandages and radiated evil. She felt a chill run down her spine as he got closer.
"I'm the head of the Foundation and here to offer you a position to work for me,"
"Thank you, but no thank you. I'll be joining the Anbu soon," she had the sudden urge to run from him but she stayed.
"And by seeing Sai I much rather stay away from the foundation," she stood still with kunai dangling from her fingers. Trying to catch the Uchiha off guard three masked men lunged from multiple areas of the training grounds. She quickly weaves hand signs to sprout multiple wood structures to capture the masked men. Keeping them wrapped around the firm wooden structure.
"Beautiful! So you do have wood release!" the rugged man's face formed into a mischievous smirk.
"What do you really want?" her voice was assertive and aggressive.
"I want you to be part of the foundation, that is all! You'll train under skilled members and gain even more power,"
"They must not be that skilled if I was able to stop them so easily," she chuckled while moving the structures lower to the ground.
"That just proves how strong you are,"
"Still my answer is no, I have my own plans and I don't need to join you," she respectfully declined since she had no idea who she was dealing with.
"It doesn't work that way if I want you in the foundation... you'll be in the foundation!" he shouted and more men came out of the surrounding the woods. There were too many for [y/n] to fight they quickly overpowered her, she held her own but they managed to wound her.
She had exerted too much chakra to use the flicker technique. The Uchiha had no other choice but to use her sharingan, it was weak compared to her predecessors, but it was still a trump card that she had. Her sharingan was slight help, but she lacked experience, her power was there and was acknowledged by Danzo. Yet it wasn't enough the Uchiha had always battled honorable ninja, not ninja who were mindless and manipulated by one man. She had no chance the last thing she saw was Danzo hovering over her while she was being tied up by the other men.
"It was a good try, if you had your mangekyo sharingan things could have been different," he told her as a black sack covered her face.
