"I'm doing just fi-" before the Nara could finish his sentence the Uchiha had embraced him into a warm hug.

"Uhhh." Shikamaru didn't how to react so he awkwardly patted her back.

"HUG HER BACK YOU MORON!" Naruto mouthed towards the extremely flustered Shikamaru.

Which made him wrap his arms around the fragile being. His cheeks were burning as his heart rate above normal.

"Calm down its just me." She spoke softly, her ear was prest up against his chest, listening to the thumping of his heart.

"You c-caught me off g-guard that's all." His voice was shaky and Naruto couldn't help but chuckle.

The Uchiha's demeanor had changed completely. Her happy self had diminished, and she was now filled with regret and sadness. The last bit of her family was gone, and she couldn't do anything about. Well not at the moment she knew she would have to get Sasuke soon, even if it meant leaving the village alone.

"Ok, ok why don't we go have some lunch with everyone," Shikamaru suggested as the two released from a hug.

"Yes, that sounds like a good idea!" Naruto exclaimed excitedly.

"That sounds good and all but I have to go train." The Uchiha spoke emotionless.

"But you just got back!" Naruto whined.

"That doesn't matter, now that I don't have Sasuke I have to train harder to get him back." She began to walk down the hill.

"There you go again." Shikamaru huffed.

"What?" The Uchiha snapped while facing him once more.

"One negative thing happens and you go back to being your cold self again," he shoved his hands into his pockets, and a tried expression rested on his face. "You have us and we are going to help you. Stop thinking you're alone because you're not."

"You wouldn't understand Shikamaru."

"I know I wouldn't, but you have to stop doing things on your own! Didn't you hear what Naruto said? If you somehow get captured, and your blood lands in the wrong hands it's not only over for you, but for the rest of the village." He was now lecturing the Uchiha.

"Stop isolating yourself from others. You'll just end up like Sasuke a power-hungry, rogue ninja." His words were stabbing (Y/N). She didn't want to admit it but he was right.

"So just come with us ok? Let's talk things out and starting forming a good plan to get your cousin back." Shikamaru stared into her eyes, her eyes that are prone to sadness.

"Fine."

"Alright! Let's get some RAMEN!" Naruto jumped in glee.

"No, we're getting barbecue." (Y/N) bluntly denied the blonde.

"Wow! You really have changed!" Ino exclaimed while playing with (Y/N)'s hair. It was annoying the Uchiha since Ino was literally reaching across the table to examine her.

"Quit it!" She blushed and slapped her hand away.

"Still grumpy and mysterious," Sakura mumbled from beside the preppy blonde, seeing (Y/N) only reminded her of losing Sasuke.

"So uh how's everyone been?" The Uchiha was desperately trying to make the tension she was only feeling disappear. She didn't want to be the antisocial girl she once was, even though she didn't mind not having friends.

"Well aren't you a lot less... how would you say it?" Ino began thinking of the old (Y/N).

"Antisocial perhaps!" Tenten laughed but only made the Uchiha sink into the seat, she was now regretting agreeing to this lunch.

Suddenly the empty seat she had on both sides of her were filled by Shikamaru and Naruto.

"We got the rest of the guys, they'll be coming soon." Naruto smiled which made the Uchiha feel much calmer.

"You guys stop overwhelming (Y/N)," Shikamaru mumbles while resting his head on his palm.

"I wanted ramen." Naruto dramatically exhaled.

"You're going to turn into a noodle with all that ramen you eat!" The Uchiha scorned the blonde.

"I don't think it works like that!" Choji barged into the table and sat with Shikamaru.

"So long time no see (Y/N)!" Kiba laughed and sat next to Naruto.

"She has grown," Kiba whispers to Naruto, who gave him a stern look. The Uchiha only blushed and looked at the grill before.

Shikamaru, on the other hand, was bothered by his comment. Why did he look at (Y/N) in such an unmannered way.

"Kiba why do you have to so unmannerly." Neji sighed while sitting across from him.

"What I know I'm not the only one thinking it!" Kiba argued back.

"Enough Kiba." Shikamaru snapped which made the whole table go quiet.

"So uh how was training?" Hinata asked gently trying to remove the awkward tension.

"It was great thank you for asking." The Uchiha smiled sweetly.

The rest of the dinner was full of conversation and arguments. Everyone was getting along after a while, and it was a sweet image seeing the young adults of Konoha interacting so well with each other.

"It's best that I get going." (Y/N) yawned while preparing her self to get out of her seat.

"I'll walk you home!" Kiba eagerly stood up a smile on his face.

"No need for that," Shikamaru slowly lifted himself up.

"I'll be walking her." He spoke as a nonchalant expression was placed on his face.

"W-what!? Why?" Kiba huffed.

"She's my neighbor it only makes sense if I walk her home." The Nara yawned while rubbing his face.

"We'll see you all later." He continued and grabbed (Y/N)'s wrist leading her out the restaurant.

"Bye, you guys!" The Uchiha spoke quickly and waved off to her comrades.

"Bye!" They all said in unison while Naruto laughed at what he just witnessed.

"H-hey you can l-let go now." The Uchiha blushed as they finally exited the restaurant.

"Oh yeah, I guess you're right." There was a long pause as they walked through the village. The sun was soon to set so the village glowed a light yellow.

"Did you have fun?" Shikamaru asked while putting his hands in his pockets.

"Y-yes I did thank you for convincing me." She smiled while looking down at the ground.

"Sorry about Kiba, he sees one pretty girl and he turns into an idiot." He sighed while looking over at the beautiful Uchiha. Her hair flowed so gently it was much longer than ever before. He then noticed her forehead protector was wrapped around her arm, just like his.

"Huh? You copied me." He chuckled lightly while flicking the forehead protector.

"No! I-I just... I thought it looked cool!" She scrambled for the right words to say.

"It looks good, it suits you." He reassured her still no real expression was seen on his face.

"Thank you." Butterflies began to flutter in her stomach.

"There is still a little bit of sun left in this day, would you like to go cloud watching?" He asked while he stopped walking.

"Now?"

"Well yeah, but if you don't want to it's fine."

"No! Let's go!" She panicked a bit but shook her head yes quickly.

"Ok then let's go." The corner of his lips curved into a small smile.
