"NARUTO!!!" [y/n] screamed when her eyes witnessed pain pin her childhood best friend into the gaping crater. She began to flicker towards him, but Sasuke quickly grabbed her wrist.

"We have to go!" her cousin snapped, as [y/n]'s blood boiled in anger.

"Sasuke, he needs us! We have to help him!" she tried to rip herself away, but Sasuke kept his grip.

"[y/n]! Itachi is in the old compound we have to go!"

"He's going to die, Sasuke, I'm not leaving him behind! I'm not letting him die!" [y/n] activated her sharingan, but Sasuke grabbed her by the collar and pulled her closer.

"Stop, calm down. Naruto can do this. You and I both know he's strong enough to do this. We have to go to our mission. So give Naruto the faith that he deserves, because he can defeat pain!" suddenly, Hinata ran towards the Uchihas.

"Please go do what you must, I'll help Naruto," Hinata placed a reassuring hand onto [y/n]'s shoulder before running after Naruto.

"Well, come on. It's finally time," Sasuke let's go of his older cousin and began to make his way towards their old compound.

"Shikamaru, I-I have to say bye," her eyes began to look around the chaos that was unraveling.

"K-Kakashi sensei?" she saw his figure not too far away, his head tilted back as his hair drooped downwards.

"There's no time [y/n], he probably already left to do what he supposed to be doing right now," he grabbed her wrist once more, and he began to pull her away from the mayhem so that they could enter their own.

On their way to Itachi [y/n]'s mind was running 100 miles per hour, calculating as many outcomes as physically as she could. Each of them making sure Itachi's death occurs. But as soon as they got to the compound, [y/n] stopped and grabbed Sasuke's shoulder.

"Let me start the fight," she spoke, and Sasuke's blood began to boil.

"Why would—"

"If anyone has to die between you and me, it has to be me, Sasuke!" her cousin's face contoured into confusion.

"No ones dying beside Itachi," Sasuke turned around and began to walk again.

"You and I both know there's a possibility of one of our deaths, and that death has to be mine. If the clan is going to be restored, you're the only one that can restore it the proper way," she continued to speak, "Let me weaken him for you at least, just so I know I had a part in his takedown," she was begging him at this point.

"No. We're doing this together like you said when we were kids,"

"The only person that is dying is Itachi...but I do think you should stay back a bit. If you can break through his genejustus, you can't be in the midst of the fight," Sasuke informed her, trying his best to be as comforting as possible.

"You just have to look into my eyes for me to break the genejustu," she began to follow him again.

"Ok," they finally found themselves in front of the building Itachi was in.

"This is it," [y/n] whispered, her composure quickly adjusting to the situation.

"Our goal," Sasuke finished, taking the first steps inside the door decaying doorway.

[y/n] didn't speak; she allowed the bothers to talk as she began to focus chakra into her nasal cavity. This immediately allowed her to smell the husky chakra scent that came from Sasuke, and the sickening smell that came from Itachi. The scent so disgusting it made her cough.
