Today my campaign manager Kathy is coming over to the house for a meeting. I'm in the kitchen making refreshments for our guests. Stef tells me everything's going to be fine
It's time for me to put my big girl pants on, and tell her that I'm dropping out of the election and my decision is final. I know she's going to convince me not to drop out of this election, but after speaking with Stef about it a few days ago. She was on board with my decision, stef didn't try to talk me out of it. While I was in the kitchen preparing lunch, the doorbell rang. Stef went to open the door, and it was Kathy my campaign manager. I came in the living room to greet her, Stef and l sat down on the sofa together
Where she held my hand for support. as l soon as starting speaking, Kathy interrupts me
Which l found her attitude rather rude. Lena l set up a couple of speaking engagements for you
Kathy said. I wish that checked with me before you done that, Lena States. What's the problem now Lena Kathy says, there's no easy way to say this Kathy I'm dropping out of the election. This whole campaign has inferred with my marriage to Stef,
You have made me change who l am as person. With the clothes that didn't feel like me, l never wanted all this to take a total on my life. We left Stef totally out of the process, I'm choosing my wife over this election. Cause she comes first in my life Lena replies, Lena you can't be serious right now after all l done for you in this campaign Kathy said.
I appreciate everything you did
But l wasn't happy with some of things you did to get me elected
You wanted me to lie and say that
People in jail didn't have the right to gain in employment in this country. I do believe everyone deserves a second chance, you may disagree with my decision. But my choice on the matter is final, Lena replied.
One day Lena your going to wake up and realize that you made the biggest mistake of your life by leaving this election over your wife Kathy States. I have no regrets for making my decision clear, so there's nothing left to say Lena said. It was a pleasure working with you Lena Kathy shook Lena's hand. And Lena saw Kathy saw out of the door as she left. Stef didn't say one single word, she let Lena talk. While she listen, her wife give up something love for their marriage.
