Stef's: POV
We just arrived home from the doctor's office. I stopped off to the pizza place, so I wouldn't have to come back out later
Lena is still asleep. I know she's exhausted from not getting any sleep last night, l think that she only slept for two hours. Lena was worried about the doctor's visit. When we pulled up to our condo, l woke Lena up to let her know we were home. She was a little cranky when I woke her
We both get out of the car.
I grabbed the pizza, Lena unlocks
The door. Lena goes inside
While I locked up the house,
I placed the pizza on the dining room table. I go over to the cabinet and get to plates, for Lena and myself. I went to the refrigerator to get us a bottle of Apple juice, I don't know where
Lena went. So l went upstairs to find her, when I did find Lena
She was laying down in bed
With her eyes closed.
Today has been emotional for Lena.
Lena's: POV
When we got home from the doctor's office. I came straight upstairs to my mine and Stef's bedroom, l needed time to myself
For a while.before going back downstairs, l didn't want Stef to think that I am pushing her away
Cause I'm not. As l lay here thinking about this beautiful baby. But my mind wanders
Back to our daughter again,
I know grief takes time.
Everybody expects me to go back to the old Lena. When I don't know who that is anyone,
I can't let this destroy me now
Just for today. I will focus on the positive side of this, we go back to clinic in two weeks. Where they place the fertilized egg back inside.
