Cameron

Cameron's sitting outside on the porch in his blue checkered pj trouser and no top with a cup of coffee in hand when his brother Laine comes out with a similar pair of trouser to his brother but are red and sits in a chair beside him.

"Mum's running rampage in there" Laine says as he looks out at the view

"That's why i'm out here. Staying clear of her." Cameron turns to his brother and rolls his eyes.

"She seems pretty excited about it all" Laine points out to him as he turns around and takes a peek inside at her hoovering the sofa in the lounge.

"Don't get what there is to be excited about" Cameron shrugs his shoulders still annoyed that he was forced into a decision he didn't want to make.

"It's better than being out there on your own" Laine reminds him of everything he could have lost in the process.

"Why did i even agree to this?" Cameron asks his brother questioning his intentions

" Do you think you made the right decision?" Laine questions him wondering what is going on inside his brothers head

Cameron looks down at the pato with a emotionless face "I honestly don't know man".

"Don't screw this up" Laine advices him not wanting to lose his older brother because he can't seem to grow up

"I hate that they made me choose"Cameron reveals to his brother

"They are trying to look out for you just like they always have but you have to admit you've been reckless over the years like you just stopped caring and i get i do but they want you to be happy" Laine mentions to him as he pats his brothers right arm

"They want me to be happy but force me to marry someone i don't know" Cameron scoffs thinking how stupid it sounded

"Freya used to be cool when we were kids you never know she could be alright" Laine attempts to make his brother feel better about it.

"Or she might be like mom" Cameron looks over to Laine dreading meeting Freya. Hoping that she is nothing like his mom or hers because to him that protective cheesy and loveable person just isn't him, not anymore. Not in a long time.

"Boys get in here and help your mother" Gordon shouts from inside the house.

"Guess that's our que" Laine gets up off his chair and heads back inside leaving Cameron by himself.

"They don't get it, they just don't understand what i'm going through what i have been through. They expect me to be happy but how can i when i lost everything i loved, when i lost everything that i cared about. How do they expect me to move and be okay with that like nothing happened. It's not that easy"He says to himself before getting up off the pato chair and heading back inside.

When he gets inside he sees his mum giving Laine a lecture about how to polish a glass properly, he walks in the opposite direction hoping to avoid her completely. As he is walking his father pulls him to the side.

"I know this isn't the perfect solution but i'm proud of you even if you did make it for the wrong reasons" Gordon says to Cameron before walking away.

Cameron can sense his father already knows he isn't going it for family but he's only doing it so that he still has a home and money. Cameron walks into the kitchen and rinses his cup out when his mom comes storming over frustrated.
