Cameron-
I walk to the kitchen in just my pyjama bottoms not expecting anyone to be awake since it's a sunday but as i approach the kitchen i see a silhouette of someone at the table, i open the kitchen door fully allowing myself to walk in and see the top half of Freya's body lying on the table on top of her work asleep with her pyjamas on and cup of god knows what in front of her. I smile at her and shake my head of course she fell asleep again at the table, for the past two week all she has done is stress over her work wanting every little detail to be perfect. I walk over to the table and gently place my hand on her back.
"Freya" I whisper in her ear in hopes she will wake up so that she can head to bed but i get no response from her.
"Freya, Freya" I say a little louder which manages to capture her attention
"You fell asleep" I whisper softly to her not wanting to scare her, she jumps up and looks down at her work in panic
"Oh god, What time is it?"She asks in a panic
"It's quarter past nine "I share with her as i take a quick glance at the clock
"Oh my god, i've less than fifteen minutes" Freya blurts out scrambling through her papers. She opens up her laptop and begins to type quickly to finished her essay which is based on the meaning of one of the pictures she took and in this case it's of a river. I stand behind her chair eventually taking my hand off her back and watch her work away.
"You want some coffee?" I ask her having seen the bags in her eyes through the laptop screen
"No thank you" She replies, i lean on the back of her chair and watch her type away as she talk about the river being a symbol of being able to wash away the past to be able to wash away any fears or regrets you have have and when you step out of the river it's like starting new. A curl forms at my mouth as i watch her work never had i taken in what these things mean to her. To me a river is just a river but to her it's so much more and i never understood that. She sends the essay to her professor with only two minutes left to spare of her deadline.
"You should seriously go to bed" I tell her moving from the back of the chair over to the coffee pot
"Thank you for waking me, i owe you one" She smiles at me as she scatters through her papers.
"No worries, but still go to bed" I repeat to her not wanting her too over work like she has been doing
"I have so much more i need to get done" She shakes her head not liking the idea
"Just a few hours"I suggest to her as i leave the coffee to brew.
"I dunno" She replies, i glare over at her and she can see me glaring at her.
"Alright but only an hour or two okay" She agrees and to which i smirk over the fact i won over the argument.
She closes down her laptop and puts all her photos and essays back into her portfolio zipping it up so that it is in a safe place. She walks over to me with her portfolio in hand and laptop in arm while she hold her cup in her right hand. I put out my arm and open up my hand at her to take the cup to which she does.
"Remember only an hour or two" She repeats her mind set on it to which i shake my head at her
"Good night Freya" I tell her, i feel the urge to walk over to her and kiss her forehead but i stop myself from doing so and head over to the sink. I hear her leave the room and i look down into her cup where the bottom of the contents has dried into the cup suggesting it has been there for a while now.
