A Shell In The Sand

Chapter 22-

Freya-

I walk out of the study after a long and difficult night from stressing out about my portfolio and walk to the kitchen where i can hear noises of people talking. Half asleep i don't pay any attention until i get closer and realise i can hear my mother's voice. I walk through the door and see my mum sat at the table with Aileen going through the folder and i click I'm meant to be wedding dress shopping today, i know it's a bit late considering it's the second of February but between my schedule and mum and Aileen there has been no time.

"Good morning sleepy head" My mother says as i walk towards the coffee pot and i scratch my head while my hair is down and in a mess having not done anything with it yet. I completely ignore her feeling too tired to function this morning.

Cameron walks in the back door and look over at him not realising i was glaring or having a resting bitch face and he smiles at me.

"Someone's not had their coffee yet" he jokes and i continue with the death stare until my coffee is ready and i pour it into a mug.

Both boys end up sitting down at the table with our mums going through wedding dress ideas but i blank them out not feeling prepared enough to listen.

"Oh that's a nice one" I hear Laine say but he is soon turned down by Cameron

"Nope" Cameron replied bluntly and i make my way towards the kitchen door to head up to my room to get some peace and quiet.

"Sweetie where you going?" My mother calls on me but i continue walking and raise my hand up and give a backwards wave to them and slowly make my way upstairs.

As i'm walking up the stairs Gordan starts walking down them and smiles at me.

"Don't tell me you've had enough of them already" He jokes to me knowing how much they can be together.

"I'm just trying to gather my thoughts before we go shopping" I reveal to him as we pass each other.

I head straight for my room and close the door behind me hoping that no one disturbs me and i just sit at the edge of the bed for a solid ten minutes staring at the ground while i drink my coffee but i let out a sigh realising i have to get changed or they might just kill me. I end up throwing on a see through black mesh top that has flowers around the breasts and a pair of black high waist denim shorts and my flowery black and white converse on my feet. I put my hair in tightish curls to give myself an idea of how it might look on the day and head back down stairs. Within ten minutes of being down stairs i'm ushered to the front door by my moms.

"Have fun" I hear Cameron call from behind me at the front door and i turn my head to glare at him and Laine who seem to find it funny.

Aileen jumps into the driver side of the car and i sit in the back while my mum sits beside Aileen, Aileen told me she wants to take me to some of the good wedding dress shops and will willingly pay for any dress i want even if it's ten thousand dollars, it was very nice of her to say and for her to do that for me. I also asked Chuck to come along because i need someone else there to support me because i will end up caving into what they want rather than what i want and i need someone to remind me that it's my wedding and not theirs.

Aileen parks the car in town and we get out, and head to Brides To Be where Chuck is standing outside waiting, i look at him with a smile and walk faster over to him with open arms.

"Thank you so much for coming" I whisper into his ear feeling grateful that he could take time out of his day for someone who isn't his daughter even though sometimes it feels like i am.
