putting on makeup was easy but putting them according to the prom theme was hard. xue applied her eyeshadow while watching a tutorial on how to do it.
she regretted not practising beforehand. her date is going to be here in 15 minutes and she hoped he's willing to wait for her.
"xue! your prom date is here!" her mom shouted from downstairs. "uh tell him to wait downstairs! i'll come down in a bit." she replied, groaning.
"how's my date doing-" before he could enter the room, she had dashed to the door before slamming it. "b-be patient! i'm almost done." she stammered.
"okay baby," he replied and leaned on the door. jaemin didn't know what dress was xue going to wear. one thing he knew was that he's wearing a navy blue tuxedo and she's wearing a navy blue dress.
a few minutes later, jaemin knocked on the door again. "are you done?"
"almost! give me a second."
one, "your one second is up." he announced and just when he's about to knock the door again, his girlfriend came out, looking as pretty as ever.

she was wearing a navy blue glittery princess dress and her makeup wasn't heavy either. just perfect. jaemin looked too astonished to even compliment her."wow you look good." she broke the silence and jaemin coughed. "well i only styled my hair but i guess my face is too good looking that whatever i wear-"
"look who's flattering himself again." she rolled her eyes. "roll your eyes again and your eyeballs are going to come out." jaemin warned her. "as if i'm going to believe that."
"i thought i sent you the video- wait haha bold of me to assume you're even going to watch it." he chuckled but his voice came out huskier than usual, which gave xue goosebumps.
"exactly. now let's go or we're going to be late." she started walking but jaemin held her back. she got flustered of course because they weren't exactly in a nice position. jaemin had one hand on her back and one was gripping her hand.
