"You know what? You weren't, actually," she said, a smile brightening her face. "I remember those words like it was yesterday, spoken as you looked straight into my eyes. Each word was clear, you meant every single one and your voice had that deep, reassuring tone." Catching his gaze, she continued, "You were ready to offer me the whole world," she admitted before shifting her gaze elsewhere. "But my hesitation wasn't because I didn't love you; it was because my life was a complete mess back then." Pausing for a moment, she added, "I confided in you, fearing you might have a change of heart... but you didn't. That's when I finally let go... Love made me forget everything. After all... it's the feeling I'd been yearning for." Glancing at him once more, she noticed he was still watching her intently. "Am I laying it on too thick?" she teased, letting out a chuckle.

He chuckled too, though his thoughts veered elsewhere from her question. He couldn’t see himself doing everything she described, but the undeniable truth and sincerity in her words captivated him. He felt like he could listen to her say them over and over, all day long. Growing more intrigued, he found himself eager to uncover more about their shared past. "Was I a good boyfriend to you when we were together?"

"Yes, you were. You took really good care of me," she replied.

Relief washed over him upon hearing her affirmation. "You mentioned I almost died because of you. Can you tell me what happened?"

"I'm sorry, but I can't share that part with you. It's too terrible. It's probably best if you remain unaware," she confided.

"Even if I assure you that I'm prepared to handle whatever it may be?" he inquired.

"Yes," she replied firmly.

He let out a sigh. "All right... then, could you tell me about anything else we did together?"

"We went to the amusement park on our first date. You gave me a necklace at the clock tower. We celebrated your seventeenth birthday together, and then we ended up in your room. We had sex and afterward, we showered together. Oh, and I also stayed over in your room several times," she recounted, gazing at him.

He was taken aback. There was no trace of shame in her tone or expression when she mentioned their sexual encounter. "So... I'm not a virgin anymore," he admitted, feeling a bit embarrassed.

"Nope. But hey, you're actually pretty good in bed," she assured him, unfazed.

"All right. I believe I've heard plenty on that topic," he replied, though a sense of unfairness lingered in the back of his mind, knowing he couldn't remember any of it.

"You don't believe me, do you?" she questioned.

He released a heavy sigh. "I'm not sure. All I knew back then was that I'd never experienced anything like that."

She let out a chuckle.

"What's so funny? Are you teasing me now?" he asked, feeling a touch of frustration.

"I'm not... You still look adorable when you're embarrassed," she replied.

He averted his gaze, taking a moment before speaking again. "By the way, aren't they looking for you right now? Your parents, your school? I forgot about that when I asked you to stay here. I'm sorry."

"Don't worry about it," she replied calmly.

"We're almost there. We just have to cross," he said, reaching out his hand. "Would you mind if I hold your hand? I just want to make sure you'll be safe."
