Mr. Volkov monitored the facility from the control room, observing Yustin as he approached Clair, who lay on the bed. However, Mr. Volkov's view was obscured by the scanner machine above Clair, preventing him from seeing what transpired. Just as suspicion began to surface, his most trusted aide stepped away to confer with the doctors. After a brief exchange, Yustin returned to his post.
"Sir, there's someone outside," reported one of the operators in the control room, gesturing towards a screen displaying the exterior camera feed.
Mr. Volkov observed a man with a large backpack wandering outside the facility on the monitor. "Probably another lone hiker from the city with a miserable life. Send someone to take care of him. Dispose of the body where it won't be found," he ordered.

As two men emerged from the facility's entrance, Ark prepared himself, clad in a bucket hat and black round sunglasses. The men cautiously advanced, gripping their guns.
"Hey! I'm lost and cold! I'm looking for some help... Are those guns?" Ark asked, but the men persisted, now aiming their weapons at him.
Ark raised both hands, dropping his bag. "Whoa! Whoa! Take it easy. I'm not a threat. I'm just a lost backpacker," he explained.
The men seemed deaf. They fired upon hearing Mr. Volkov's signal through their earphones, yet neither bullet found its mark. They tried again, with the same result.
"What's wrong with you? Are you really going to kill me without even asking a single question?" Ark challenged them.
Once more, they fired.
"You're just wasting your bullets. That won't work on me," Ark murmured, confident that their weapons would fail to harm him, shielded as he was by his hidden wings.
Meanwhile, Cerro sent Clair a message.
Ark's actions caught Mr. Volkov's attention. He rose from his chair and approached the monitor. "What the hell is going on out there?" he demanded, his voice tinged with irritation.
As he prepared to dispatch more men outside, all the monitors abruptly went dark.
"What's happening?" he exclaimed, his tone now tinged with shock.
Silence greeted his question, fueling his frustration. "Answer me! What is happening?" he bellowed.
"Sir, we've lost power," one of the operators explained.
"Then get it back online!" Mr. Volkov shouted again.
Two men quickly exited the room to check the power room on the facility's top floor.

When Clair noticed the red light from the surveillance camera had disappeared, she swiftly rose from the bed. The two doctors, tasked by Yustin with conducting physical tests on her, were taken aback. She fixed them with a steady gaze as she stepped out of bed and approached them.
"Where are the others?" Clair demanded in a serious tone, her eyes piercing.
The young male doctor lunged for a syringe on the steel table beside him, attempting to jab Clair's arm. But before the needle could reach her, she seized his wrist and delivered a powerful blow to his stomach, sending him reeling.
The female doctor, appearing to be in her 40s, screamed, her hands trembling as she raised them. "Please don't hurt me," she begged.
"Answer me. Where are the other four you've taken?" Clair demanded, her gaze still piercing.
