"You know why I let you inside the hall?" Ark inquired.

Zach looked at him.

"It's because of that thing on your wrist. That's why the power of evil couldn't harm you. Clair gave it back to you, didn't she?" he asked.

Zach lifted his arm and glanced at the bracelet.

"That bracelet is no ordinary piece. It can protect you from any kind of evil presence," Ark added.

Zach's voice was heavy with regret as he replied, "She gave me this to keep me safe, but all I did was end up hurting her."

"Listen, whatever happened that night, I'm pretty sure it's not all on you. I mean, you wouldn't have broken into house and put your life on the line to save her if it wasn't all because of your love for her, right?" Ark reassured him. "Looks like I'm starting to get the hang of this whole love thing," he chuckled, realizing it.

"I won't lie, that was pretty heroic," Roy said, stepping through the door. "A mere mortal, stopping a demon without so much as a singe, a feat even the Father, creator of all, struggled with. Odd, yet undeniably impressive," he commented, then positioned himself in front of Zach.

Zach rose from his chair, his expression calm and resolute.

"I owe you an apology for doubting you earlier. You've proven that love holds unexpected power. But don't mistake this for a change in my perception of you. While I may commend you for saving her life, it doesn't mean I'm suddenly accepting your feelings for her," Roy declared, locking eyes with Zach.

He observed Zach's expression, noting the absence of any signs of agitation. He could tell from the determination in Zach's eyes that he wasn't about to let go of Clair easily. Recognizing this, Roy stepped back momentarily. He understood that Clair still relied on him to regain her strength. With that, Roy chose to say nothing more and departed from the mansion.

"Angthens are strictly forbidden from engaging with humans, let alone forming deep relationships with them. In fact, it never happened before. You and Clair are breaking new ground, so anticipate plenty of challenges on your journey together," Ark admitted.

"Is there any chance we can be together without violating your laws?" Zach inquired.

Ark remained silent for a moment.

"I suppose that means no," Zach anticipated.

Ark let out a deep sigh. "You're right... But even if there seems to be no way, if Clair really wants it, she'll find a way to make it happen, no matter what or who stands in her path. She's incredibly stubborn, you know, and unstoppable," he stated firmly.

"I wish there's something I could do too," Zach replied, his gaze falling to the floor.

Ark pondered for a moment. "Wait here," he said before leaving the room.

Leaning against the table, Zach couldn't stop thinking about Clair. He couldn't wait to see her again, to confirm if she still felt the same way about him. He wanted to hear it directly from her, in her own words. Lost in thought, Ark returned.

He called out to Zach and tossed something his way. Despite being caught off guard, Zach's instincts kicked in, and he raised his right arm to catch what he initially thought was a silver cane. The sudden movement left his mind struggling to catch up with his body's actions.
