Zach had been standing in front of the tank for almost half an hour, gazing at Clair's body, hoping for even the slightest sign of movement.

Per noticed and felt pity for him.

"He hadn't seen her for almost two months and now this," Ark remarked, his voice heavy with empathy. "I could feel his pain just by watching him."

Per couldn't bear it any longer. She stood up from her seat. The others watched as she approached Zach, stood beside him, and gently took his hand. "Hey, she's going to be all right. You know how strong she is, so you've got to be strong for her too. Come on, let's take a break. I'm sure that's what she would want," she said, trying to sound as cheerful as possible.

Zach glanced at Per. Though still feeling down, he knew she was right. He followed her to join their friends, settling into a chair around the square table with Per beside him.

Moments later, Filbur returned from his lab and swiftly approached the table, standing at its head. "This substance is a potent mix of sedatives and four different drugs: heroin, fentanyl, carfentanil, and a synthetic opiate known as U-47700. It's called the Gray Death - a highly dangerous cocktail capable of causing instant death. Whoever's behind this is using it to subdue their victims. It may not kill an angthen, but it could render them completely incapacitated," he explained, displaying the syringe discovered in Clair's pocket.

"Is there a treatment for it?" Per asked, her impatience evident.

"Claireth was exposed to one of these. Thankfully, she was brought here immediately. The drug hadn't yet reached her vital parts. Our healing water will ease her pain. I've combined it with three of my specialized drugs to neutralize the chemicals in her body. The process will be gradual, so I've also infused a trace amount of dark power to expedite the absorption of negative energy, assuming my theories hold true. Nevertheless, I'm confident she'll recover," he announced with certainty.

Per turned to Zach, her smile genuine. "Did you hear that, Zach? It's all because of you. You're the one who alerted us right away. Technically, you're the one who saved her," she exclaimed happily.

Zach managed a faint smile. Hearing that Clair would be all right filled him with relief, giving him a renewed sense of strength.

"But we still don't know who these people are," Cerro interjected, his tone tinged with irritation.

"I saw them," Zach blurted out.

All eyes turned to him.

"Who did you see, Zach?" Ark asked.

"At the church. I saw armed men everywhere. It was dark, so I couldn't make out their faces, but I overheard something. Someone mentioned the name 'Yustin'" Zach recounted.

"Yustin?" Cerro queried.

"You know that guy?" Ark pressed.

Cerro sighed, leaning against his chair and crossing his arms. "That name came up in our investigation too, but we still haven't uncovered anything about this Yustin."

"Um, also..." Zach hesitated, knowing they might not like what he had to say next. However, seeing their eager expressions, he continued. "I saw them take Clair's scythe," he added.

"Oh, that's not good. That's really not good," Per reacted, her expression filled with anxiety.

"But no one else can touch that weapon. How did they get it?" Ark asked, curiosity evident in his voice.

"There was a helicopter carrying some kind of large metal ring. They used it to lift the scythe, like a magnet. Then the helicopter flew south with it, and all the men there got into their cars and drove off," Zach recounted, recalling that night.
