Chapter 42

Yesterday night Neil requested Avni to stay in his place but as always after having dinner she came back home. She isn't comfortable yet spending night with her boyfriend unless there is any other urgency arises inadvertently, apart from those few unplanned nights she has spent with him untill now.
This week as decided few days ago, they are going to Neil's hometown Chandigarh for two days and a single night.

"Neil there is a change in the script....you have some more dialogues here in the second scene" Raj Sir discussed, explained the scenes to Neil and Pooja. Both seated besides each other, while Avni was busy having a look at the set, as per as Raj Sir told her to talk to Dd for some changes they will have in next scene.

"Avni don't you think Neil Sir is getting too much possessive with you now days!" Dd whispered while his eyes were on the task. He was asked to work on some details for the next scene. His gaze filled with mirth.
Avni was discussing something to his assistant, a girl who assists DD. Avni turned her face at Dd the moment that girl left. Her eyes creased and then relaxed replaced by a cheeky smile.

"Dd don't you think, you gets into unnecessary bakwas!" Avni chided shrugging his words away and she get back to the sight she was into, watching.

"You didn't see! how he glared at any guy, talk to you in the set babe" Dd shot his head up, looked straight at Avni in a furrowed-
fake-concerned gaze. And in response he got a slit fuming gaze from her.

"See, you also became the same...stop glaring at me now" He grinned broadly but instantly flinched getting a smack on his shoulder.

"Ouuch!!! easy champ" he mimicked Raj Sir, rubbing the spot on his shoulder theatrically. Avni displayed how irked she is through gritting her teeth.

"He is not" she curtly retorted back. "Now concentrate on your task you have been given to. Or else the man you are mimicking, will come and bang your that stupid head" Avni sassed, motioned him to look at his work. In response Dd shook his head and grinned.

"Pooja is getting jealous of you. Do you know that!" Dd heaved a sigh and stated in an intimidating tone but subsided next, sniggered slightly.

"And don't tell me you are jealous for them more" now Avni shot him back boisterously and DD snapped his head at her halting his work he had his eyes on.

"What do you mean!" His eyes furrowed at her. Avni gave a triumphant grin looking at his expression changed in something petulant. She stared at him smugly.

"Don't tell me dude you like Pooja" her eyes slitted, she gazed at him amused.

"What the crap!!!" he almost shouted out loud being irritated but controlled not to snarled and whispered instead "I haven't gone blind yet okay!!That I'll fall for her. I have many beautiful girls around me to lay my eyes on..so please don't you dare to think of it, that I'll fall for Miss Pooja....I'm not into her like your Neil is. okay!" DD emphasized on the last few words he deliberately said and threw an amused face at Avni.

Avni darted her eyes away DD and laid them at Neil and Pooja. she felt nothing but uncomfortable at their friendly gestures to each other. They have seen giggled on some chatting.
"See I told you...look at them" Dd added over her shoulder seeing her watching them through discomforting gaze.

"He is not like you guys okay!" She hauled back her gaze at Dd.
"Now shut your not so amazing mouth and get back to your work...or I'll sue you complaining Raj Sir that you talk much and work less" she sneered, snapped back him with her reply.
DD faked a wired face as if he got scared by her warning. Later He grinned and resumed his work.
But the entire day his amused smile didn't fade away his face whenever he watched Avni the way she kept glancing at Neil and Pooja from afar.
