Jesus isn't a cruel taskmaster. In fact, the more we ponder what He does and our small requirements, the more we love and declare His goodness! His servants shouldn't come across as somber, gloomy people, rather we should spark with radiant, infectious joy! We're redeemed! Where is our  joy of His salvation? We may go through hardships here, but glory- undeserved, unmerited- awaits!

Why would unbelievers crave Jesus and a portion in Him if we're miserable? True joy and happiness comes from Him. The world only has a sad, fake, copycat, fading version. True happiness is in Jesus alone. No one can take our joy! Jesus wasn't a miserable miser and He suffered much more than us- for us!- not just in pain, but truly abandoned and yet He radiated love, joy peace... emanate Him! When we consider how much we've been spared, we should be thrilled!

Psalm 55

Pray to God alone. Even strong believers feel fear. The ungodly are violent, striving, mischievous, sorrowful, wicked, deceived and guile.

Friends and family will betray. Have confidence that the Lord is powerful, and will save in His timing and way. Cry out to Him! Be always in prayer and praise. Have confidence, He, holy above all, hears! He can and will deliver. He already has!

The wicked assume because the Lord mercifully forebears and "tarrys" they're not going to be punished. They don't fear God!

Cast your burden on God, He'll support you and care for you. Trust in Him.

1 Corinthians 8

Don't be proud and conceited because of your knowledge, good or bad! Be humble.

God knows those who love Him.

There's only ONE God!

If you know something will tempt your brother, don't do it. Don't cause offense, rather love one another with the love of God.
