Intentions and desires are not the same. We can intend on everything right, but it is our true desires we'll end up gravitating to. The Lord sees our hearts. Pray for sincerity. You cannot fulfill the flesh and please God. The flesh is at enmity, war, against God. You cannot love the world and God. You can't have two masters. Forsake the world. Only Christ is lasting. Denny yourself daily, pick up your cross and follow Jesus.
Psalm 78
Teach the love and law of God to your children. Pray they follow after God with all their hearts. Teach His marvelous works. There is none like unto Him. It's not a suggestion, but a command to instruct our children in righteousness. Pray that they serve the Lord wholeheartedly. Don't let His Name be forgotten. You children are on loan, be a wise and God-fearing servant. They are not yours, but His. You will give account. Pray that they don't follow your stupidity, foolishness, and rebellion against God, but from an early age they find the Lord. Pray that they will not be stubborn, but walk steadfastly, without wavering in His ways.
The people of old didn't keep the law, refusing to walk in His law. They were forgetful even thought He cared for them and did many wondrous works. They provoked, tempted, were unthankful and discontent. They spoke against God. They didn't believe God or trust Him for their salvation. Over and over He provided and yet they still sinned. he slew them and they hypocritically reformed. He was merciful, forgiving and compassionate again, for He knows we're just dust yet again they took His grace for granted, provoking, limiting and grieving Him. Yet, He guided them as their good Shepherd, merciful always. Yet, they forgot and tempted Him again, forgetting Him to rebelliously serve idols. He was angry and jealous, he saw and heard and punished through their enemies. Yet, again, He arose and defended His wayward people. What an awesome God! He still chose Judah, He loved His own.
He is merciful and willing to save. Repent! Learn from their examples of old. Don't limit, grieve, forget, tempt, be idolatrous and provoke the Lord. Submit to Him. Be led by Him. He is all powerful. Learn. Don't repeat their mistakes.
Matthew 2
When you see Christ, you'll worship Him. Every knee will bow, sooner or later. Fall down and worship the King!
God often speaks in dreams. Pay attention. Be obedient. Pray for discernment.
Matthew 2:10-12 When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy. And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense and myrrh. And being warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed into their own country another way.
