When we sin against humans, we avoid them like the plague, so it's no coincidence that when Adam and Eve sinned, they hid.
"Where are you?" God asked. not for HIS benefit. He knew exactly where they were. The question wasn't geographical but spiritual. "Examine where you are, children. You aren't where you were. You were at My side, now you've hidden from Me."
Examine yourself. Examine. Examine yourself to see if you're truly in the faith. We are in such a tateeda age where we just "believe and receive." God calls, but we have to do the "Work" to meet His call.
He calls? We repent. He calls? We examine. We're not supposed to be casual! Lord have mercy! Where did we get this fly-by attitude? This is the church God is coming back for?
Psalm 102
Pray, knowing that God hears. He will answer in His time. Compared to the Lord, our life is just a vapor. He is from everlasting.
The Lord will come again. He will hear the prayer of the destitute.
The Lord sees and hears all. Nothing goes without His notice. He is touched, He cares! He is the Mighty Creator! Unchangeable! He has no end.
Matthew 26
Jesus is our Passover Lamb. The Jews cared more about the people's opinion and reaction than the Lord.
The woman gave her very best- what He deserves, out of love. She saw the worth and preciousness of Jesus!
We have glorious hope of a resurrection! His promise, "I will go before you" instilled confidence and faith in His Word.
The Lord asked so little of His disciples. "Watch with me". Guard against sleepiness. Stay alert and devoted!
Greed, love of the world were the driving forces behind Judas' betrayal. Watch for prideful self confidence. Strive against sin. Don't be and act like the world. You are a peculiar people!
Christ prayed three times in agony. He didn't have to! For me He died! His life wasn't taken from Him, rather, He willing submitted, laying it down of His own accord. The Lord of glory gave His life for us! Because the Lord went through the agony (far worse than our deepest agony) He is our PERFECT High Priest! He felt, He saw, he knew the agony we go through! O God how wonderful You are! I'm overwhelmed! What is man that Thou art mindful of Him? Let the story of "The Passion" seep over you. Read it slowly. Don't forget the cost! He submitted for our redemption and salvation. He was falsely accused so we would not be condemned. No greater love!
